last minute questions

i was looking at the navigator over on castawaycayclub.com and notice a charge for the segway. what does this charge cover? also, is purchasing the unlimited soda deal a good thing vs. the cost of sodas onboard. also, we would like to wear our formal attire to palo; would this be acceptable even the evening dress code might be casual? these are probably not the last of the last minute questions; i am sorta getting confused. not much longer now.

I was on the May 3rd sailing of the Magic. The segway charge was $15 dollars to test drive it on deck 10. Not sure how long but I believe it's not much longer than 15 minutes.

As for Palo, although we didn't eat there I can tell you that people dressed for more meals than just formal night. I believe that most people treat Palo as a formal attire restaurant if only because it is adults only and therefore for many a special occasion.

We had a soft-sided cooler which we carried 3 12 packs of soda on board for the kids. The soda at dinner time is free but outside of the sit down meals it is $1.50. If you plan on eating most of your meals at the buffet (Topsiders) than you would need to pay for the soda.

The unlimited soda is a good deal if you drink a lot of soda during the day. DH and myself usually drink water or lemonade so we do not buy them. We purchased one for each of the girls on the last cruise, and while the oldest used hers a lot the youngest hardly ever used hers. I really think it just depends on how much soda you drink. Soda is free with dinner and there is a drink station on deck 9 outside of Topsiders were you can get water, juice, lemonade, and coffee any time of day.

There is never a casual night in Palo. Everyone dresses up when they dine in Palo. Your formal attire may be a little dressier than everyone else, but you will not feel out of place.
