Last Minute questions

We leave Friday for VWL and I have a couple of questions. First, I understand the parking is really far away. So we should use valet parking correct? Do we just pull up and unload our bags to be delivered? Then I know we tip- do we tip valet and the person who brings the bag? What is the suggested tipping amount? I had heard $1 per bag but am not sure.
Also, we got our tickets already from undercover tourist. Can these be added to our room keys when we get there or will we need to carry the tickets as well? Thanks in advance for your help.

Can't help you with the ticket question, but I can tell you that we usually always valet at VWL. We tip $2 for the person who takes our car and retrieves it. We usually always tip around $1 a bag to the person who delivers our luggage. Of course we usually have a ton of bags so it's usually around $15 to $20.

I'm just making sure that you realize that valet parking is no longer free for DVC members. We have found that self parking in the row where the HA area is, is not THAT inconvenient.

IMO, there's no way I would pay for valet parking at VWL. The parking is not THAT far away that its impossible to do, unless you have a handicap.

However, if you're inclined to use the valet parking, I'd pay $1/bag.

We don't find parking at WL to be that far away. We always have our car, and drive it everywhere while at WDW. DH will pull the car up sometimes while I wait at the door.
We do have bell services take our bags from the car and deliver them to our room. We tip both times. We tip $1-$2 dollars a bag.

The HA parking isn't down that whole first lane. When you park there, you really aren't far away from the villas.

I don't think parking is far at WL/VWL. There's that whole side parking lot beyond the Lodge, but we've never had to park there, we always find a spot in the main lot in front of the lodge/villas.

Thanks for the responses. I had read so much about bad paking that I was worried. So maybe we will just drop our bags at bell services and then park if it isn't so far. We don't mind a walk as long as it isn't ridiculously far away. I do wonder how parking will be since it is a super busy time of year. I guess we will see how it goes. I know someone said they had a problem getting their tickets added when they had the segmented dining plan so hopefully we don't run into that.

I don't think parking at WL is not that far away. I will pull the car up sometimes while the party waits at the door.
We usually only use bell serivces to handle bags if we have to transfer hotels. We tip $1-$2 dollars a bag depends on how heavy and the size of the bags. It is usually $20.

There has been (and I think still is) an overall resorts problem with adding separate tickets to KTTW cards now. It is related to their new LILO booking system, so that may not be possible at this time.
