Our family has decided to do a trip last minute, arriving the sat after thanksgiving. The kids choice is AKV, they have never stayed there after so many trips. I called last month and there was limited availability, which I expected. We were able to get the first two nights at OKW studio, next 3 nights 1 br kidani, last 2 nights 1 br jambo. I am so excited to stay at AKV, but I guess what I am asking is should I really keep calling and see if I can get all 5 days in 1 room? Should I pick Jambo or Kidani? Or might this be great to be able to experience both aspects of AKV in 1 trip? We have to do the studio at OKW the first 2 nights because I don't own that many points.:confused3 Oh well, something to shoot for in the future. TIA for your suggestions.:)

I personally would try to move my reservation to one or the other. It will be busy at the parks, and I know that my family would want a place where we could retreat to in order to escape. On the day of the move, you'll be stranded for a bit. Of course, you may not be able to, but trying is worth it to me. Picking between the two may be moot since you may have to "settle" for what is available. But, having an idea of what you might prefer isn't a bad idea.

Having never stayed at AKL (we check in on Friday!!), I am going by what I've heard on the DIS.

At Kidani - you'll have the extra bathroom in the 1BR which might come in handy with your group. You don't have access to a QS restaurant at Kidani; you have to go to Jambo. If you are counting on that for any meals, it could be cumbersome to walk/bus back and forth to Jambo.

Jambo - there is more "hustle and bustle" here. If you like to be in the action, this is the place to be as opposed to Kidani. The rooms are converted hotel rooms, so the 1BR won't have the jetted tub/separate shower, just a shower/tub combo. There is only one bathroom for your family to share.

Pick whichever appeals to you. Good luck! And definitely try a wait list - you never know if it will be fulfilled! :wizard:

Have your luggage packed the night before.

It will magically be moved for you if you ask.

Check out of the first room and go to the park.

Come back after check in time and your luggage will be waiting for you.

It is doable.

Still, I would try to get them at the same place if I could since you are already doing that at OKW.

I'm glad you were able to get something for each night. Now, I would try to get the AKV part at Kidani. Since you already have 3 in Kidani, my first waitist would be for Kidani both of the last 2 nights, and the second waitlist would be for Kidani, just the first of those 2 nights.

My guess is that you will get Kidani.

PS. Otherwise, go with what NWmom is saying. You have all of the nights, don't fret about moving!
