Ok, not totally last minute but down to the wire- we leave Wednesday the 25 and I have check my list a few times. It will be me, my wife and our 18 month old son. Can anyone one think of some "You'll want them if you dont have them" items I might have forgot to pack?? I have the basics and some odd ones like nightlights, rain ponchos, a water proof stroller cover, flashlight, first aid, and so on. We have a tendency to get a little excited in the last few days and end up missing a few things. Thanks for the help!:thumbsup2

PS the 15 day forcast is showing some crappy weather :scared:

I am also arriving on the 25th and staying at POR. Where are you staying? I looked at the 15 day forecast a few days ago and everyone keeps saying that it's not truely accurate. :worship: (Gonna check the local weather a few days out). I would love to know what to pack as it seems it might be cool in am and after the sun goes down. I'm used to Aug weather, shorts and tanks! I could pack that without even thinking!!! Don't forget a few changes of shoes in case it rains on you. It also helps to switch the footwear up a bit. Bring LOTS of film for many memories with your little one and any medicines you think you will not need. Take it from me, we've had three kids come down with strep throat and a stomach:sick: illness on a different trip. Pack any and all medicines!!!

Ive never been to POR but its on the list!! Last year we stayed at SSR in May and although the crowds were a little higher than most sites predicted the weather was wonderful!! This year we are at the Double Tree since I have some Hilton Honor points to burn and right now FREE is right up my alley!:thumbsup2
I know what your saying about the forcast and thats what I'm thinking as well. I would hate to tell my wife that the weather is looking crapy a week out and then it totally change a day before we get there! I can just see the panic :scared: in her eyes as she scrables to wash lighter clothes for her and the baby!!
I found out over the years I tend to prefer sandles with thick cushioned soles for the most part but I think I may throw an extra pair in my bag just incase that forcast is correct and it does rain!
Our little guy is cutting teeth still but we are hoping his eczema doest flair up!! Heres to great weather and no illnesses!! Hope your trip is a blast!!

I just wanted to say have a great time, have fun and enjoy in your upcoming trip. Looking forward in hearing more from you.

Have a nice and safe trip coming. :)

Great packing tips! We are also leaving soon and staying at POR. This is the weather link I have been using:
http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USFL0610?from=36hr_topnav_undeclared

are you using a different one?

I live about 2 hours from WDW and the weather has been very cool in the mornings...anywhere from high 40's to low 60's and then warming up quite nicely anywhere between mid 70's to high 80's, remember it's Florida and our weather is anything BUT predictable. We are packing mostly tee shirts, shorts and capris. We are all bringing one pair of jeans each and a sweatshirt or two. This is our third March/April trip and we have not had to actually use the jeans except once in 2005! We pack ponchos for everyone too...the good thing about Florida is most of the time the afternoon rain showers are quick to pass..(I won't mention the days it basically drizzles all day!:scared1: )

I will be praying we all have great weather and I am also checking the weather daily!

And to the OP and everyone else planning and packing....make sure you pack some moleskin for your feet incase you develope a sore spot!! I already have mine tucked into our medicine kit!!

9 days to go   :yay: :yay:

Im also getting there the 25th.. Staying at AsSp. So far from what i see on weather.com till saturday is gonna be perfect.. Its only a 10 day forcast so i cant see the whole week.. the one thing i suggest bringing is a power cord.. Something that gives you more outlets for charging cell phones and cameras and such... have a great trip

OK...THAT is a GREAT tip. I am adding it to my list now! We have a camera charger, video cam charger and four cell phones to keep charged.

:goodvibes AWESOME tip...THANKS
:thumbsup2

Hey gang I know I shouldnt have waited so long to book a car but I for some odd reason I did. The cheapest I could find a midsize SUV was through Dollar and Thrifty for $317 out the door. I was just able to get a standard SUV on priceline.com for $238.00 OTD! :cool1: saving money makes me happy!

On a sad note, I cant find my darn AAA Diamond parking pass!!! EEEEK!!!!!:scared1:

Has anyone seen it?? My wife told me to calm down its got to be here somewhere!!

UPDATE:: The AAA parking pass has been recovered!!

I don't want to be pecimisitc but I always pack everything I need for sick kids. My kids are natorious for pretty much being sick constantely (18 months and 4 years) and both have asthma so we are pretty use to it. Every where we go we bring our nebulizer (with accuneb and pulmicort), tylenol, decongestants, cough meds, ibuprofin, etc. I know, I am obsessive when it comes to the sickies!!!

I don't know if you are driving or flying but whenever we drive somewhere I also pack a small fan (or since my boys have asthma, if I have room a small air purifier) to make back ground noise for my kids while they sleep. People running down the hallways, knocking on doors and everything else can be helped with just a small fan placed right by their bed (not blowing on them, of course).

Also don't want to insult you but if you are big enough that your thighs rub together I always bring some medicated powder to put between my thighs so they don't get tender!!

And I thnk the best idea i have gotten on here are bubbles, bring the bubbles to entertain the baby in line!!! We are just taking my 4 year old this time (leaving baby behind, boo hoo) but if I was taking a little person I would bring bubbles, for sure!!!

and always - don't forget the baby sunscreen!!!!!!!!!!

I leave in less than 24 hours!!! WOOHOO!! :cool1:

I will be at the All Star Sports through the 28th. We just booked a night at a Motel 6 in Kissimmee for one more night of Florida fun!

I'm throwing in all kinds of things. Packed my son's bubble bath, have his bandaids ready, baby tylenol, diaper cream, nail clippers, the works. I always forget something of mine, but my son will be stocked!! I just put the finishing touches on a couple of the shirts I made him & should have him almost packed soon. Then, to pack for hubby & me.

I'm so ready, well, not really, but mentally, I'm already there!
:cheer2:

This link and the one I use look scary for the week I am there :scared1: I don't want cold weather and rain :sad1:

This link I like  but I bet it changes to go more along with the first two :headache:

Oh well...we will still be at Disney right?? We will just have to get in all the pool time, Splash and KRR on the good days!

Who knows...we could still have mostly great weather!

:lmao: Im going with Intellicast!!

Maybe if we all hope and pray for great weather it will happen!!:confused3

We did some shopping today for a little smaller stroller since wifey doesnt want ours to get ruined on the plane ride down. Its hard to find a tweener not quite an umbrella and not quite a travel system.

I had to find a tweener too. My DD is 4 but still I don't think she will handle walking all day and I wanted a place for her to be able rest as she needs it. The one I got is very compact ,(as far as folding it up),but still is a reclining stroller with a good sunshade. It also is comfy for her so if she does doze she will not be squished.

And I am going with Intellicast too!! :thumbsup2 ;)

What did you get?

I got this one:
http://www.combistrollers.com/ProductDetails.aspx?CategoryID=3&selection=7&Children=0&productID=809

I got this because it 'fit' my daughter well, was easy to push AND it folds up and then sort of folds in half too....if I could figure out how to post a picture of it I would just so everyone could see how it folds up so conveniently. It has a strap that you can through over your shoulder so my DH or I can easily get it on and off the buses. It has the conveniences of the bigger strollers like a basket underneath and it reclines nicely for her to rest if she needs to. Okay...I searched around and found this cheesy demo video...it does show at then end how it folds up though. It shows it reclining too, however it actually reclines a bit more than they show in the video.

That stoller looks great! I just googled a place here in Pittsburgh that carries those Combi stollers!!

Off to bed now we need to get back to the hunt for a stroller and some goodies in the morning! Darn I wish I still had a link to that great packing thread someone posted last year! I have a printed copy but I lost the link when I got a new computer!:confused3
