We leave NJ at O'dark thirty tomorrow!!! I have a couple of last minute questions for you HHI veterans, I've been scouring the 'net but no luck so far.

I found 2 Catholic churches on the Island-Holy Family and St Francis by the Sea-does anyone know which one is closer to the resort?

Tennis lessons-I haven't played in about a million years, but all the fuss about the US Open up here has gotten me interested in trying it. Does the resort have tennis lessons or should I consider Palmetto Dunes-and do I need my own equipment?

Wave Runners-have any of you rented one? How expensive are they and was the experience worth the $$?

Thanks so much! You have all been so helpful with my DVC purchase and my trip! My friend said the other night-"Thank God for the DIS people or we wouldn't know ANYTHING!"

I think St. Francis by the Sea would be closer, right off 278 before you get to the resort. We usually go on down to Pope Avenue (towards sea pines) and go to Holy Family just because we like the traffic circle...lol..no not for that reason actually, we just like it there because we've gone to that church on all our HH trips, sort of a tradition.

No tennis lessons at the disney resort but i'm sure palmetto dunes would offer them. Ask at the front desk, maybe someone will know.
Can't help you with the waverunners..we always wanted to try them but only saw them near Hudson's Restaurant, not near the resort.

Thanks! I'm down at Shelter Cove Mall right now partaking of the first internet access I've had since Friday.
We ended up going to Holy Family too, and it was very nice. Also easy access to the Piggly Wiggly on the way back.
The resort is beautiful, the CM's have all been so helpful and friendly. If I wasn't traveling with my friend's sister, BIL and 18mth old-everything would be perfect. I'll spill more on the child free thread..they understand me there!
The beach house is my favorite place, very relaxing and I love my lunch out on the deck watching the ocean. We've been pretty lucky with the weather, drove through Ernesto's remains coming down and we may get rain tonight-but nobody is expecting much inconvenience.

I will definately be coming back here. I may try for June with my folks and my niece.
