My husband and I will be traveling to Disney with our children this next week.
We will be leaving on August 28th (staying at All Star Music) and this trip is to celebrate our youngest daughter (Jaydie Jo) starting Kindergarten. Our 1st trip to Disney was when our oldest daughter Sarah Jane started Kindergarten. Sarah Jane is 17 now and she is starting her Senior Year in High School... While the focus of this trip will be Jaydie Jo and her kindergarten Kick off, it is bittersweet that we know that this might be our last family vacation as Sarah Jane will soon leave the nest... Insert a moment of Mama tears...Our son Sam also had a Kindergarten Trip and he is now 14 and is going into 9th grade. Where did my baby boy go and who is this man cub in his place?
Our teenagers are 'in the know' about this trip but we are wanting this to be a complete surprise for Jaydie Jo. She knows that the other kids had "Kindergarten Trips" but she also kws that Disney is EXPENSIVE and we 'might not have THAT much money right now'.
I have worked tirelessly booking what I hope will be the perfect Kindergarten Trip for the Princess of the House and creating autograph scrapbooks for each of the kids to have. As the baby, and with teenage siblings, Jaydie Jo is adored, She is NOT bratty though and she will be tickled Elsa Blue over this trip and will be thankful!
I know this is a long post and I KNOW this is last minute... I only recently (think 2 days) found this site and I have tried with pitiful results to create my own Dinner invitations to leave for the kids in the room. If ANYONE would like to show mercy and help me with invitations, coupons, ANYTHING.... I would be so thankful! I really would like to add as many magical touches to this trip as possible!
Jaydie Jo is a FROZEN fanatic, Sam likes Stitch and Sarah JAne is all about Belle.
Thanks so much!
Daphnie
Any ideas on how to announce the surprise??? We want to tell her on the way to the airport or right before we get in the car.. or maybe AT the aiport.....
