Last minute driving help please... we go early in the morning!!!!!

looking at this site http://www.click-parts.co.uk/content/Driving-In-France.php it says we need to take photocopies of insurance, vehicle registration documents, MOT etc... i presumed you would need insurance, but the AA site says nothing about MOT.

what do we do? we would have to take the originals as we have no time to photocopy them. we drove last year and didn't take all these things as we went by the AA advice.

another site says you need a GB sticker even if you have it on your number plate. is this right? again th AA site says if its on your number plate you are ok.

we always take originals of everything and keep them with the passports (thats MOT, insurance and log book) we dont have a GB sticker but it is on the number plate and we have never had any problems. you do also need a change of bulbs, warning triangle and headlight covers, not sure if you have these? if you going by eurotunnel then i know you will definitly pick these up at the port. have fun and pack the thermals as we got back friday and it has been frezzing and snowy...

In addition to the above you also need 1 high vis jacket in the car and the warning triangle has to be in the car not the boot. We always take our origional documents too and have also not put a GB sticker on the car as we too have one on our number plate.

thanks for the reply. yeah we still have the warning triangle, spare bulbs, first aid kit from last year, and have our headlamp stickers reasy to go on. am so excited i'm sure i'm gonna forget something!

already packed our thermals (long johns, tshirts, socks) so at least i know i'm gonna be warm!

When we drove in September via the tunnel, they actually checked our car before boarding for GB sticker and headlight stickers (no GB on the number plate) but thankfully had a gb magnet attached to the back.
