My brothers just informed me today that they want to have dinner at Chef Mickeys on our trip that is less than a week away. I called up Dining and there are no openings. What do you think the chances are of there being any openings the day of due to cancellations, etc? I don't want to get my brothers hopes up if there is virtually no chance of getting in.

I in a way hope that we don't get in as 6 months ago when I was asking them where they wanted to eat so I could make the reservations they were completely disinterested and now they are throwing this at me so close to the trip. Very frustrating!

Sorry, not likely. With the DDP, everything gets booked up. Everywhere we went last week, all walk-ups were being turned away or told to come back very late.

I agree with the last poster. I would just keep calling WDW DINE whenever you get the chance. Sometimes people do double book and you might get a spot if someone cancels. Good luck!:goodvibes

That is pretty much what I thought. Just wondered if anybody had any luck contacting Dining the day of and getting a spot. Oh well. I am perfectly happy with the ADR's we already have, my brothers will just have to be happy with the choices I made. They will just get to meet Cinderella and Charming at 1900 Park Fare as originally planned.:cutie:

Now we were there at the end of April and we did luck out and walk in for breakfast around 7:15. We were orginally going to eat at the Concourse Steakhouse and when we got down there DH noticed that Chef Mickey looked empty, he went over and asked and yes we got in so I then cancelled our ADR for 2 days later. So you could keep trying...someone may have to cancel!

Even if you can't get an ADR before you leave, try making one while in WDW. You could go to the lobby Concierge desk of your Resort, or any of the Guest Services offices in the theme parks or Downtown Disney can also help with your ADR's.

In our experience, if you get there at opening, there is a very good chance you could get in. We walked into Le Cellier at 4:00 p.m. and got seated when we were told they were booked for our entire 14 day trip! Good Luck!

We had similar luck with Boma, Rose and Crown and even Chef Mickeys. We called, like a previous poster said, right from our resort and we were able to get squeezed in :crowded: ! If you are willing to take the time out to make a few extra calls, then it might work out.

Hope it goes your way! Pixie dust comin' your way...pixiedust:

Thanks for the advice. I will call again a day or two before we leave and then I will check the day of with my hotel concierge.
