Last Minute Car Rental/Flight Delay Question

My friend and her family are flying into MCO tonight, and their flight is delayed, meaning there's a good chance that the rental car company (Payless Car Rental) will be closed by the time they arrive. Does anyone have any experience or ideas about what to do in this situation? My friend is very concerned!

I found this policy on the website:

It is the policy of Payless to have the confirmed vehicle available for calendar day of the scheduled arrival. If your reservation is for arrival within the last hour of operation and your flight is delayed, Payless will hold your vehicle for pick up until 9:00 am the next morning.


I don't really understand if it means they'll have to wait until the morning or if the car will be waiting throughout night?

They're willing to go with a different company, so advice on last minute rentals would also be great! Thanks so much for any info!

You, or they, should call Payless NOW and find out what their hours of operation are. 407-856-5539

If the office has closed for the night then your friend must wait until the morning and hopefully the car will still be there. This would be the same for any car rental agency.
