Last minute(budget) trip to Cooperstown...

We are headed up to Lake George on Sunday for a few days. Now thinking we might head up Saturday and bring the boys to Cooperstown.
Anyone know a budget place we might be able to ressies at for Sat. night?? Also, anyone know about how far it is from lake George to Cooperstown??

I live around right in between both and have been to both numerous times.

It's around an hour each way for me so Lake George to Cooperstown would be approx 2 hours.

Not too sure about budget hotels in Copperstown though as I never stayed in any there, always been day trips.

You have alot of fun in both places though, plenty of things to do and see.
