Last minute availability?

I was hoping to get into FW this coming weekend & have been trying for a while to reserve a spot online. Unfortunately they appear to be booked
Does anyone know if it would be wise to just head there anyways with pop-up in tow (we only live about 45 minutes away) & hope for last minute cancellations? On previous trips when it took a few trys to get a site online I noticed that there were quite a few vacant spaces around us once we were there. So do you think there is hope?!

I have never tried it before. But I know a couple of different families who have done it more than once and have always gotten in.

People camp in the overflow lot all the time.

We were down during Christmas and there were several 5r's with generators camping on the asphalt.

I'd call CRO first. Sometimes they will see openings that the on-line system hasn't received yet. I think the on-line system is updated at certain times of the day and the CRO is gets its updates live.
