My spring break is next week, so a friend and I decided to take a very last minute trip out to Disneyland. We will be going 3/11-3/13 with 2 full days in the parks. (VERY EXCITED) We will definitely be utilizing Maxpass. We both live in Florida so we are WDW pros.

Looking for any tips, food recommendations, photo ops (i am a photographer), and just anything you think we may need to know!

What kind of things do you like to do? Since you’re WDW pros, are you looking to do things exclusive to DL or do you want to do things that also appear at WDW?

You’ll be here during the Food & Wine festival, so definitely check that out.

We are looking to do the rides that are exclusive to DL. But also do the the different versions of a couple rides in WDW. We like thrills rides so 100% be checking out DCA. We are open to checking out everything or anything.

You should definitely check out the DLR Guide for WDW Vets thread it gives a good overview of the things that are unique to DLR or that are different from WDW. Make sure you get familiar with how maxpass works and start looking at fastpass return times on the app now to get an idea of how quickly they go. Since you're going during the week Fantasmic! won't be showing but Mickeys Magic Mix and World of Color should be showing.

I can't recommend any specific food but most people say counter service at DLR is better than at WDW. If you go later in the day you should be able to get into lamplight lounge without a reservation and minimal wait. Even if you don't drink Trader Sam's at the Disneyland Hotel is worth checking out; it's similar to the WDW version but different enough that it's still worth the visit.

At sunset they light up all the neon signs in Carslands and it's a pretty cool experience. It's not on the entertainment calendar so make sure you show up 10-15 mins before official sunset so you don't miss it.

Also a lot of attractions are currently down for refurbishment (especially at Disneyland) so make sure you check the DLR website for a list of current refurbs to see what rides will be unavailable during your trip.
