Ok- we're doing it! My BFF and I will go on a last minute , surprise trip to WDW!! Hurray!! :woohoo: But wait- I am a psycho planner with 37 guidebooks to consult!!! Last minute is not my style!:scared1:

Seems like we will be there at a busier time of year than we usually go. I need to get me some adrs quick!

Here's the data- Kids are 6,5,3,and 1.5 (are we crazy!!) We'll be at the Poly from 6/13-6/18. I am sure we will spend a lot of pool time, and a lot of MK time. We prob won't even get to MGM or Epcot.

I have to call for adrs today! Which TS should I book for a party of 2 adults, 4 kids that would be at resorts.

Oh man, I really don't want 5 days of food court!
(We are not on the dining plan)

At this point just call and see what you can get. You might be pleasantly surprised. I have gotten some great last minute ADR's. Tell the CM that you will be at the Poly and ask her whats available at the MK resorts.

I've had good luck with last minute ADR's at Kona, 'Ohana Breakfast, Park Fair Breakfast, WCC, Trail's End, and Grand Floridian Cafe. :thumbsup2

Thanks Mrzrich!!
Just got adr for Jiko and Artiste Pt (never tried them before)
Also got tea Party and 2 eves in Neverland club for the 2 older kids.

BTW- LOVE Jake Ryan, and have 2 kids w/ asd. (age 6 and 3) Theywill be thrilled with this surprise trip! They have worked SO hard in school this year.

Thanks!

Any place else I should try for?

Both Jiko and Artist point are very nice TS restaurants. Jiko has a dress code, I think, so keep that in mind when packing. Make sure you leave enough time to explore both resorts before dinner. At AK there are a few places to view the Savannah.

You can also keep calling back to see if any of the MK resort restaurants open up. Someone mentioned Kona, Ohana and WCC (at WL) which are more family friendly restaurants. It might also be fun to get a ressie for a Boardwalk or YC/BC restaurant and then head over to the Boardwalk after dinner. Always alot of fun stuff and street performers happening over there!

Can you also please fill me in on what asd is? Can't figure out the letters? Thanks.

Since you are going to MK what about Crystal Palace, did you try Chef Mickey at CR?

Speaking of the Boardwalk, ESPN does not take ADR's so you should be able to get in there:thumbsup2

I can't believe how excited I am getting today!!!

I really need to keep it under control...I am supposed to be the grown up here!!

ASD is autism spectrum disorder, btw.

I figure we'll have a lot of burgers, etc in MK, have a few meals at Poly, and having a few nice TS meals arranged will be just enough. If I overbook- we never will make it to everything. I am also trying to keep our adr to the resorts, as trying to get thru the oark to the restaurant on time can be a nightmare.

Any other ideas?

DH and I take a lot of last minute trips and we find that the resort restaurants are usually easy to get into, such as Kona, Cape May for breakfast or dinner, Grand Floridian Cafe, anything at the Boardwalk.....if we cannot get into the park restaurants for dinner we will go for lunch....Beirgarten is usually easy to get into and the food is awesome!
