Last Mimute Fast Pass Questions

I have a last minute question for our upcoming visit (7/17) regarding fastpasses. We are buying multi park tickets and plan on DL in the morning and DCA later in the day. Can someone go ahead to DCA and pull fast passes while the rest of the party is still in DL? Do the tickets all have to be scanned for entry to the park before you can get fast passes? Are the fastpass systems between the two parks independent where you could still use the FP system in DL while having a later one in DCA? I hope these questions make sense.

The FP systems are now linked in both parks. I am uncertain about all guests needing to enter DCA before pulling passes there. In the past, you just needed to activate all tickets in one park or the other.

Based on recent reports, all Guest need to have scanned into that park in order to get FPs for a ride there. So the plan of sending one person over to DCA to get FPs while everyone else remains in DL may not work. Right now, however, the FP system is in a state of flux and things change every day. But I would not risk it and make sure everyone has entered one park before getting FPs for it (they can always wait by entrance).

As PP mentioned, the systems are linked. But you can hold a late FP for DCA, go to DL and get other FPs once your window opens 2 hrs later.
