I just received my last issue of the DISNEY magazine. I had a subscription that would have expired in winter of 08. I already get the family fun and the adventures magazines for my family but they really are not read that often, what did you do with your subscription, and which magaize do you prefer??

Sad day for me, I LOVE  the DISNEY magazine. :sad2:

I hope to get a refund. I don't want either magazine.

I will really miss Disney Magazine.

REFUND. I don't have kids, so neither magazine interested me.

I have been getting this magazine since the 80's (at least). I will really miss it and think it was short sighted on Disney's part to shut it down.

Have kids still dont want either magazine

I am calling today for a refund, part of me even wants to cancel the other subscriptions I have too.

Thanks for the input.

You know, on and off I've been hearing about their not publishing the magazine anymore, but it just kept on coming. In fact, when my girl scout troop ran their QSP (magazine) drive, I reordered the Disney Magazine, which WAS offered.......
I don't know what I'll do, either. My two pre-teen daughters love reading Adventures, but look forward to purchasing it in the grocery store (something I let them buy when we shop) that's why I didn't want to subscribe to it.

I am also disappointed. I've been down to Disney 11 times, and each time I read the magazine I learned something new..........I especially loved the photo quizzes & the recipies. It kept me on the "Cutting Edge of Disney".. :guilty:

Actually, the Disney higher-ups didn't shut the magazine down. Buena Vista Publishing did this on their own. Yes, they are owned by Disney, but from what I've heard some of the top Marketing people were dead set against this.

I am disappointed to. I have saved all my Disney Magazines since I subscribed several years ago and my 8 year old loves to go back and reread them. I already get Disney Adventures. I may just get a refund too ( I'm paid up to 2008) to let the company know I am not happy. It will be sadly missed in our house.

I just called the 800# and got a refund.

I'm just totally bummed by this whole thing. Disney Magazine was such a great resource for everything Disney.

Does anyone know where we could send emails, letters, petitions.......what-ever to get them to reconsider????

This just doesn't seem like a very smart move on their part!!

I am glad a refund is an option. I have no interest in the other magazines either. (no kids)
My only other consideration was donating whatever remaining issues there are to a children's organization. (Which I probably will do, if I can. My only consideration against that is the possible junk mail I will probably get from that! ;) )

I want a refund for the full 3 years. I am planning to call tomorrow. I am going to miss the magazine, and I was kinda hacked that the issue came with that warning glued all over it. It is a collectors item after all!!! =)

I took the money as the other magizenes are medicore at best!!!

I think times are looking up at Disney - they are getting their crowds back and now they can dump all the people who stood by them even in the slow times.

Disney Club was a tremendous loss - I was a member since it first started. Disney Visa doesn't come close to giving the deals you got with the Disney Club.

Now Disney Magazine, another great thing for those who love Disney is being tossed out.

I'm getting very upset with Disney and I have been a very loyal customer with months and months of time spent at their resorts. My house is loaded with Disney stuff.

Also from my recent trips to the parks the lines are getting extremely long, they are removing some of the more popular "classis" or replacing them with trashy updates.

The new fad is Character Meals - the one really nice place to eat lunch at the Magic Kingdom was the castle - now that is a character lunch. I guess I have to live at EPCOT.

My children (grown up with families) have recently told me that they are not so sure they want to go to WDW in the future - some of them have stayed off-property with many trips to other places the last time they went to Orlando and were pleased with the cheaper prices and accomodations at least as good as WDW. These kids have been going to WDW since they were 4 years old - every other year. I fear I see a trend - I hope someone at Disney hears the whispers going around and put Disney back on track before it is too late.

My 2 cents - and I hope management at Disney reads it.

I requested a refund and told the person on the phone to PLEASE pass along that they have left out a complete demographic of Disney fans by no longer publishing Disney Magazine.

I will be requesting a refund as the other publications hold no value to me.
Canceling DM is such a foolish mistake. :(

I just renewed my subscription for The Disney Magazine and I already get Family Fun. I really don't want the other magazine they offer.

Can someone please tell me the 800 number to call to ask for a refund? Thanks! :flower:
