We're going to Disney in early Dec. (4-12), splitting our stay between 3 days at ASMo and 4 days at Poly.

Does anyone remember what rates they were able to get last year for the same time period?

We have AAA, Disney Visa, and would buy an AP if the rates are available.

Thanks for your help!!

I saved last year discounts from mousesavers since I knew I would never really remember it until this year and the codes came out 8/28/03

WDW Annual Passholders can ask for Code ### and get special discounted rates at select Walt Disney World resorts for check-ins 10/2/03-11/24/03 and 11/28/03-12/26/03. Discounts range from approximately 30-45% off regular rack rates. Availability seems to be very limited, particularly for October -- you may need to be flexible about dates and/or resorts to take advantage of these rates. Note that these dates include Value, Regular and Holiday seasons, so rates for the same hotel will vary widely. Some reported rates:
· All Stars - $49 standard (Value and Holiday season), $69 standard (Regular season)
· Moderates - $79 standard (Value season), $89 king (Value season), $99 standard (Regular season), $109 king (Regular season), $140 Coronado junior suite (Regular season)
· Animal Kingdom Lodge - $109 standard (Value and Holiday season), $129 standard (Regular season), $149 pool view (Value season), $165 pool view (Regular season), $154 savannah view (Value and Holiday season), $179 savannah view (Regular season), $209 deluxe savannah view (Value season), $249 concierge (Value season)
· Wilderness Lodge - $109 standard (Value season), $125 woods view (Value and Holiday season), $140 courtyard view (Value and Holiday season), $165 courtyard view (Regular season), $219 concierge (Value season), $259 honeymoon room (Regular season)
· Ft. Wilderness Cabin - $134 (Value season)
· Contemporary - $229 tower (Value season), $249 tower (Regular season)
· Boardwalk/Beach Club/Yacht Club - $174 standard (Value season), $209 water view (Value season), $294 concierge (Regular season)
· Polynesian - $170 garden view (Value season), $204 garden view (Regular season), $235 garden view concierge (Value season), $285 lagoon view concierge (Value season)
· Grand Floridian - $199 garden view (Value season), $239 lagoon view (Value season)

Hope this helps you out!

Thank you sooo much for the info. I'm hopeful that similar rates will be available this year!!

I'm thinking about going from Poly GV to GVC. Would you recommend making a ressie for that now and try to get a rate change when they come out? Or am I being a risk taker??

I believe we got 40% off with AP rates last December. I would suggest going ahead and making a reservation--just be sure to note the cancellation policy date in case the need arises. :)

The whole Poly part of our trip is a surprise for DH-we're celebrating our 10th anniversary, plus his and DD8th birthdays are during the trip-switching to GVC would be a great surprise!!

Thanks again for the advice!!

We too are looking to go beginning of Dec (possibly 12/3-12/11). If the Animal Kingdom Lodge is $109 - that is where we will want to be! Should we book that now and modify our reservation when the codes come out in August? Or wait a little bit longer?

Also, do 'package deals' seem to come out for that time of the year like the 7 for 4 deal right now?

We don't have a Disney Visa? Should one of us get one? Do they offer discounts for card holders? I see the current one you need to be a new card holder so I am not sure if we should get one ahead of time or not?

Wow, those discounts are great! The whole family is going in December and I wanted to surprise my parents with ressies for Poly, which was the first resort we ever stayed at.

I also am going to stay at the Poly the first week of December. I am wondering what I should do. Reserve now, and hope something better comes about as far as rates? Am I able to do that? How about the Disney card deal... should I apply for one or wait? Hmmmm....

We got a Disney Visa figuring we'd be earning Disney dollars from now til we go in Dec. There are offers to receive $25 Disney dollars when you make your 1st purchase, plus you'd receive offers for other deals. (We didn't get the 4 for 7 deal, but were eligible for the discounted rates)-BUT none of the deals are for Dec. yet. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping for a good deal!! (and hoping that DH doesn't look at the total price it is now before the discounts....)
