Last day dilemma

I think it's crazy that you didn't get an email notification of the changed flight times. I admit, I rarely fly American because I live in a Delta hub city, but I always get some type of notification of a flight change, delay, etc.

Good luck with your trip!

This is nuts, both my flights on Delta in October were changed and I never received any notification. Thankfully, a DISboard poster who was also affected took the time to message me and ask if my flights were changed as well. Had they not done this, I never would have known.

You can gain back 1 of those hours by taking Uber or Lyft back. Take it back from the park and you save travel time back to the resort too.
We always go to Epcot on our last day so we can put our carry on bags in the luggage lockers out front but if you want MK they do have some big lockers just inside the park. You'll have to take it through bag check but it's not too bad.
Anyway, between using Lyft and leaving from the park you can make up your lost time

Do you have notifications enabled? Use the app?
We've had 2 different trips on Delta changed and both of them we got notifications via the app. But I do think you have to tell it you want to be notified of changed.

I do. Back in the spring I noticed that suddenly my seat numbers were different. We picked the seats we wanted and paid for the upgrade, so I wasn't happy. I contacted Delta, got everything fixed and after doing so, made sure all of my communications were set properly. The Delta rep told me I should have been notified of the plane change and that's why I checked. They weren't then, but they have been ever since.

How awful that similar things have happened to others! I usually fly Delta, and get notifications out the wah-zoo for changes for them, so I was flabbergasted that I didn't receive anything for this. For all of you suggesting I call, don't worry, I did immediately the day I realized. That is how I was able to get on an almost identically-timed flight headed to Orlando. Unfortunately, there just aren't any later flights than the one they re-booked us on headed out of Orlando. I hadn't really considered doing Uber or Lyft, but that is definitely a possibility!

It really is a great option for heading back.
If you have never used either service you can get a credit that makes the trip even cheaper. Full price will run you about $25, so not bad. Plus, they drop you right at the ticket level, much shorter walk too.
If you use RAC in the morning and have no bags to check at the airport it also makes it easier to get there a bit later. How much later depends on a lot of factors like do you have PreCheck or need to get boarding passes, etc.
For us, since we do have PreCheck, we use RAC and we have electronic boarding passes we don't need more than an hour at MCO. We call for our Uber/Lyft about 2 hours before departure.

We usually fly Delta. We have called several times when then have changed our original flights and we didn't like the time changes or layovers. Before calling I looked online for better flights and they have always changed ours with no cost. I don't think they would change it for minimal time changes but for 2+ hours they should.

One thing I hadn't thought of is if I needed to let the Magical Express know I'm arriving on a different flight than the one they have on file.

Nope. Arrival times don't matter
