LAST CALL for the 10/18/03 Eastern Magic Cruise!

I had to laugh when I saw your postings regaurding singing about the cruise. I think if my staff has to hear "I can't wait till next month" one more time, they're going to tape my mouth shut. I'm with all you guys, I can't wait for vacation. I have my calander on my desk marked with the number of days until our flight.

:p :p :p

I'm ready to join the party! Sailaway drinks sound good to me! Especially one of those, peach-y colored drinks that we had right off the bat! I think it was a Bahama Mama.......but really don't recall. I have to say, I was very "happy" by the time we left port.

(but it does not take much to make tchrmom "happy". Usually just a drink or 2)

kamy,
Maybe my kids are tired of the song because I've been singing it since it went something like this:
425 more days till the cruise, 425 more days till the cruise...........
Go figure!

I'm so ready! Last weekends shopping trip yielded 2 bathing suits! I think it might be time to pull out the big suitcase and start placing items in there that I want to take.

Who's with me?

I hear ya, tchrmom:D

We've been traveling so much this year, I feel like I'm just emptying and refilling our suitcases!LOL! Already I have a pile of stuff in my spare room ready to go!

Beano, thanks:)

Umm...Beano, you forgot about Bubba.

I could never forget about you, my friend. You 'da Bubba! It's just that your wife talks enough for 6 people. ;)

6 weeks from today, peeps! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

:D

OK....I'm back from another day at the mall. Good things come to those who wait! Got the navy sandles that I wanted! They were $59.00. Snatched them today for $14.79! They are PERFECT for my tropicali night dress! Dd is all set too. DH got new shoes for formal night. Let's GO!

Hey there all, DH, DD7 and I will be there! Our first cruise and very excited! Thanks for all the info on these boards, it's been a great help! Can't wait!

Hi there! Just wanted to add that my DH, DD3, and I and my parents will be on board. This will be their first cruise ever, and my daughter's as well. My husband and I went on the Wonder last year in January and had a fabulous time. This will be our first time on the Magic.

I only just recently found these boards. Wish I had known about them back in January when I booked. It seems that I missed out on some great conversations.

I will freely admit that I made a countdown chain back in April, complete with a construction paper Magic at the end. I was just too excited. My husband rolled his eyes and muttered something about me being crazy and my daughter could have cared less since it didn't have anything to do with princesses or Harry Potter. Is it wrong that I find happiness in ripping off a paper link every day?

I don't know if I can wait another 40 days!

alex1963 and Disneyana - Welcome to our humble group! (Well some of us are humble; others are not. I won't mention names but you know who you are!)LOL

Feel free to ask questions. A lot of us have cruised several times and there is a wealth of information here (and a lot of crazy people but once again I won't mention names.)LOL

Paul

 Thanks Paul!

I don't really have much in the way of questions -- just looking forward to finally starting this incredible vacation. This board is pretty informative, so just about any question we may have had I was able to find answers for. But if anything comes up, you guys are the first ones I'll ask.

I did attempt to read this entire thread but gave up a little over half-way since my eyes felt like they were ready to fall out of my head. Maybe I need glasses. Or a sailaway drink . . .mmm . . . definitely a sailaway drink.

 I got to rip another link off my chain! So happy!

Do we think we'll get docs this week? *crosses fingers*

Disneyana - If you love the sailaway drinks you will definately like this group!

Paul

:) I'm Disneyana's mom. We can't wait for our first cruise on the Magic. We've never cruised before, so this will be an awesome experience! My husband is great at sports and general trivia and he is looking forward to testing his knowledge.

Our son will be mid-semester in college, so unfortunately he won't be making the trip with us. We are trying to convince him to come on a family trip to Disney World (10 days) followed by a cruise in 2005.

We look forward to meeting everyone. Let the party begin!

You gotta love the sailaway drinks! Although I must confess, my DH loves them slightly more than I do. I did say slightly, though. Lol.

I can't wait to buy my parents their first sailaway drinks. I know they'll come to love them as much as we do. Ah, some really fond memories of those sailaway drinks . . .

Is it time to go yet?

Welcome to our group Lindsay and family!!! :)

I love sailaway drinks...as a matter of fact... I wish I had one right now! :)

My sailaway drink is a golden yellow, ice cold, in a tall refillable mug!

I always drink beer at sailaway. And at the parties. And at dinner.
And in my stateroom. And at DIS gatherings. And in the clubs. Sometimes in the morning. Sometimes afternoon. Occasionally in the mid-afternoon. Once in a while, it might be late evening.

But never at dusk! I would never do that.

Hi Kamgen and Beano!

Beano, you sound just like my dad, although he has to have at least one cup of coffee in the morning before he can move on to the gold stuff.

He always has some golfing. Swimming. Painting the house. Washing his car. He has one when he's thinking about having another one . . . When he asks us what time it is and we've all been trained to answer "Beer- thirty".

My DH likes beer, but he prefers the mixed drinks. And no matter what he says, he's a lightweight. All it takes is two and he's buzzed.

I don't know how my dad will do on the ship though because he has really bad vertigo. He gets sick on Small World. His doctor told him that she would prescribe him a whole bunch of different things so that way he would be fine on board. He's kinda leery about drinking in case it makes him sicker. I'm sure he'll be fine. When my DH and I sailed the last time, the seas were smooth until the last evening, and even then it wasn't bad. My mom will just have to make sure he has his sea-sickness patch on at all times.

Beano, you sound just like my dad

Ok, now I feel old! (Although I don't know how old you are).

Maybe I should have just said "Who's your daddy??" ;)

Kamy, you have NOT seen me have a beer at dusk... um, ok I guess you probably have. But I don't drink beer in the shower anymore, so there! ( I have tequila in the shower).

'Beano'

Beano- I knew you liked your tequila watered down! LOL! :)

Okay...is it time to go yet? :)

If it makes you feel any better, I don't consider my dad old. Or my mom. He's 47, she's 46. They don't look a day over 39. My dad doesn't act that way either. :p

I'm 25 and my DH is 31.

Maybe I should have just said "Who's your daddy??"
LOL. :)

kamgen -- I was just wondering that myself . . .

Disneyana - Your parents are the same age as my wife and I (even though I look a lot younger than my wife but that's just my opinion).

They should have no problem keeping up with this group of young kids. If we can do it, I'm sure they will be able to. All it takes is to be young at heart!
