"last call" for DME?

What is the last possible moment to add flight information and use DME on a trip?
The kids and I are flying out ahead of time to visit other family in Florida, DH is flying directly into MCO and meeting us there. Since he doesn't know exactly what day yet. When is the "point of no return" for adding DME service?

As long as he is willing to carry his own bag from the plane to the ME bus and his name is on the WDW resort registration there is not a deadline. I have taken several last minute trips, and in some cases I have flaked out completely and forgotten to set up ME. But I have always been able to walk up to the ME counter give them my resort conf # and get onto ME no problems They will print a pass for you right there, and if he has flight info for his return they can take care of that to. When you call DME they will tell you that you have to add it at least 10 days in advance. Now I've read stories of people adding it right then and there, like the PP, but the official policy is 10 days.

DME needs 10 days to process the info packet....you do NOT need to give them 10 days notice if you really don't much care about the luggag service part. You can actually call the day before travel and have it added. But, if you are calling anytime up to just a week prior to travel, I would call DME directly. I wouldn't trust Disney reservations to get him on the reservation list.
