Everyone must be off the ship by 9:30 (DCL would prefer 9:00). The last bus is held until DCL is sure that everyone requiring transport to the airport is off the ship. That generally means the last bus doesn't leave until 9:45-10:00.

This, plus DCL wants everyone to have all their stuff out of their staterooms by 8:00am so the hosts can get busy getting the staterooms ready for the next guests. Breakfast, even the late seating, is a hurried affair. You won't be able to sit and linger for a long, relaxed breakfast. Expect to be getting off the boat around 9:00, and you will probably be out to the buses around 9:30 after getting your luggage and going through customs. If you don't want to be sitting at the airport for hours, then you could rent a car, but you wouldn't have a lot of time to dilly-dally around with a 2:00pm flight so that might be more trouble than it's worth.

We had late seating, had it all planned out to just jump out of bed at 7:45 am, brush our teeth and be out of the room at breakfast by 8 am.

I didn't count on the insistent Room Steward who knocked on our door at 7 am, despite the do not disturb sign, and would not stop knocking until I opened the door to a "everyone needs to be out by 8 am"......to which I replied "then why are you knocking on my door at 7 am?"

So you may have a hard time even staying in your stateroom until 8 am without getting bothered.

WOW, we've never had a stateroom host bother us about getting out of the room. DCL asks us to bring our luggage to breakfast with us (what a hassle!!) so we ask our SR Host the night before if we can leave our stuff in the room until after breakfast - never had a problem with them saying NO - it's always been a YES.

It wasn't our stateroom host, I suspect it was a supervisor.

I probably would have made mention of such behavior to someone (and how it inconvenienced me). Guest Services, or even a "contact us" email upon returning home.
