Can you assemble a lasagna ahead of time (two days) using no-boil noodles?

I've assembled lasagnas ahead of time using regular noodles (cooking the noodles way under al dente) without the noodles becoming bloated and soggy, but I've never done the same using no-boil noodles. I am afraid that the no-boil noodles will absorb too much of the liquid in the lasagna and become soggy and over done by the time I finally put it in the oven and bake it off.

What have your experiences been like?

I haven't tried two days ahead, but I usually make it one day ahead of time with no-boil noodles and it is always fine.

I've never made one two days ahead but just so you know, you can use regular lasagne noodles without cooking them first too! Might be a better choice for you in this case since they will not absorb much prior to cooking.

I think it should be fine. The noodles will absorb most of the liquid though so unless you want it dry use a little more sauce than usual.

go hang a salami, im a lasagna hog.

Thank you all for the advice. I am having a friend over this weekend and do not want to be stuck in the kitchen while they are over. Friday night we are going to be going out to eat, Saturday we will be out of the house all day and I wanted to come home to a nice (already prepared) dinner. Lasagna seems perfect on these chilly days.:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I never pre boil lasagne noodles. Just add a cup of water before baking and cover tightly with aluminum foil. :thumbsup2
