I think any 5 star hotel will be great. We got the Pallazzo in August (I know it will be hot. lol) for $119 a night and $51 resort fees, so around $200/night. It is part of the venetian. I got it thru hotwire. We wanted to be on the strip and we also have 3 children so needed a room that fits 5. The palazzo has suites which includes a large couch and is a suite.

The desert rose it is located behind Tropicana and hooters. They have one and two bedrooms , full kitchen, laundry room. They have BBQS. The sofa is also a bed. Pool, jacuzzi, children pool. With in walking distance to MGM, NYNY and those on the end. No resort fees that I know of. It is all gated so no one can just walk in. Very nice and close to the airport.
