Hi all! We are Disneyworld fanatics but thinking of a trip out west to Las Vegas and LA. We are definitely hitting disneyland but what else would you recommend? We have 5 year old and 1 1/2 year old daughters. Thanks!
I would probably agree with the above poster. We are planning a similar trip for next summer. Our kids are 12 and 15 and I am a little concerned about the driving. We plan to fly to Phoenix, hit the Grand Canyon then drive to LA (8hrs) for Disney, Universal, Hollywood, etc. I have been checking out info on tripadvisor and was told there really isn't much between Grand Canyon and Disneyland so there probably isn't much between LV and Disneyland!
I would suggest Las Vegas for more of a "mommy and daddy trip". Maybe your children are too young to really process what they are seeing, but I'm not sure I'd want my little ones exposed to what's on the streets (signage, drunks, *some* people). Don't get me wrong-I enjoy Las Vegas as an adult. But, you might want to re-think having kiddos along. Just a thought...

I agree, we took our 5 and 6 year olds to Vegas and they absolutely loved it. They loved the lions at MGM, the dolphins at The Mirage, the aquarium at Mandalay Bay, not to mention the M&M store and Coke store, the Bellagio fountain performance, the Grand Canyon trip and the a amazing lights at night. This is just to name a few of the things that we did - we could've easily stayed longer
