Just announced on his show on CNN.

Way long overdue. :p

He will continue to do specials on CNN.

I was going to say that we'all have been ready for him to retire long before it occurred to him.

Thank goodness, it's way overdue. Sometimes it was so embarassing wathching him stumble over his words.

I used to watch him a lot but lately got tired of the same old same old. Please tell me they are not putting Eliot Spitzer's new show at this time-slot? Maybe they'll move Anderson to 9 :goodvibes

Yes, he should have retired at his 20th Anniversary instead of the 25th. Even that is pushing it to the extreme.

And stumbling over facts he clearly did not know or remember. :sad2:

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I think I'd rather keep seeing Larry! :faint:

I only watched when it had to do with true crimes and he always asked the stupidest questions. You could tell they were fed to him as well and that he thought it was beneath him to do a show like that. And he never used the internet was his one comment once. I think that was about the last time I watched him when I realized he didn't even do his own research.

I didn't realize he was still on! Isn't that like the history teacher in Harry Potter -- the one who passed in the teacher's lounge but just got up as a ghost and keeps on teaching anyway? ;)

I once interviewed someone who, afterward, told me I'd done a better job than when she'd been interviewed by Larry. I walked around with a stuffed head for a couple days before I actually caught one of his interviews and thought...hmm. She must mean just that I actually let her answer the questions without interrupting! :rotfl:

Larry's had a long career and interviewed tons of people, VIPs and infamous alike. Hope he enjoys retirement!

It's about time. Maybe he can spend sometime focusing on his marriage?! :thumbsup2

I wonder who they will get to take his place? I have heard Ryan Seacrest and the guy from Americas Got Talent.

We they replace him or just let the show go .

Why in the world does Elliot Spencer have his own show?

How to see prostitutes and have your wife accept it and stick by you after she finds out, is probably a question many men want to figure out. :scratchin
