Curious to what is the biggest size that fits on a tent site at the campground. Don't want to purchase anything to big since we are considering one of those multi room ones.

What is the biggest and smallest size sand pads the fort offers?

You've heard of the phrase, "it depends"?

There are some small tent pads at the Fort. I stayed in site 201 (Preferred) right next to the Comfort Station last month between 100/200 and there was about 4 feet here. I was only in this site one night before I asked to be moved.

There wasn't very much space on the side either for that matter.

Of course, some sites in the Tent loops have BIG tent pads. I measured 1512 a couple years ago and it was almost 18x50.

So there is no standard.

The Tent loops have bigger tent pads and the rest have smaller (with 2000 generally bigger than 1500 GENERALLY). So buy your tent, put a note on your reservation regarding its size, and the Fort staff should assign you a suitable site when the time comes.

My advice is to check in early on the day you arrive and inquire SPECIFICALLY about the site you are given if it will accommodate a tent of your size (the Fort Check-in CM have a book that lists details of every site) and if it does, great. If it doesn't, ask for one that does. But help them help you by putting the tent size on your reservation in advance.

It depends on of you are on the pad or concrete. We were in 300 a had RV and large 10-12 person tent with space to spare. AKA 5-6 person with extra space/room

Just curious. Can you have a pop up camper and a tent on he same site?? I have read where these sites accomodate 10'people and thought we would bring a pop up and a tent.

Yes, you can have one camping unit and a tent.

I would suspect that even if you had 2 tents and a camper on the site you would be okay. The caveat being that you remain within the confines of the site. If you start spilling over out of the site (and some are smaller then others), that's where you may run into issues.
