We've only stayed at one moderate....POR. I've actively avoided CS and CB because they are so big that they have their own internal transportation just to get to the pool, food court, etc.

But now I really want a change.....so.....just how easy or cumbersome is the internal transportation at CB and CS?

Thanks!

Can't answer about CBR as it has been a couple of years since we were there but we just got back from CSR. They had enlarges golf cart type vehicles circling around the lake promenade. They were going around quite often, sometimes full, sometimes they were empty and stopped and asked if we wanted a lift. As we were rather close we never used one. It was not really crowded so I think it would be pretty easy to catch a lift.

At CBR the internal transportation are busses, just like the busses to and from the park. If you know at which busstops the bus for a certain park is going to stop (they tend to follow a standard route, allthough Trinidad South is sometimes skipped if a bus to a park is too crowded allready), you can also hop on the parkbusses to go to another place within the resort.

But I must say, it didn't bother me one bit, the size of the resort. Not at all! I just love the stroll down the beaches, seeing the lovely tropical nature etc. OK, it's not too great to walk if it's pooring, but what are the changes of running into hours long of rain?

The internal bus itself never ever was crowded, I think the bussiest I've seen it, might have been 10 people in it.

Some don't like it that Custom House isn't in OPR. It can be not nice. But you don't need the internal transportation if you need/want to go to CH. It's just crossing one street from the busstop of one of the villages (I think barbados, but aren't sure anymore). I was at Trinidad North, so that was pretty far out, and it wasn't a long walk over to CH at all.

About the pools; each village has it's own pool so you don't need to rely on internal transportation to go for a swim. I think I was located the furthest from our village pool, but you never are far away from a pool. Neither was I; the mainpool was actually closer to my room! Also you'll have a beach for each village, so that's never far away either. (beach allways is just crossing the walkway away from the pool).

If you want to go to the mainpool, than yes it's a longer trip. But again; very doable thanks to the walkway and walking past those lovely beaches, hammocks etc. Thanks to Carribean Cay (island in the middle of the lake), OPR and the main pool aren't far out either for the villages right across the lake.

Really only time I saw people using the bus to get to OPR from their room was when for instance the small kids were very tired but no stroller used. Some used the buss to take food back to the room, but most walked. We've had one day when it was pooring and thundering. They actually cancelled a parade, so bad was it. That evening a lot of people used the buss during those 2,5 hours. ;)

CBR surrounds a 45 acre lake while CSR surrounds only a 15 acre lake.

CBR has 7 bus stops while CSR has only 4 bus stops.

CBR has 2,112 rooms while CSR only has 1,921 rooms.

CBR has no elevators while every building at CSR has an elevator.

CSR offers a courtesy coach where they use golf carts (see photo below) to help guests around the resort. CBR uses regular Disney buses as there internal shuttle becuase of the difference in size. CSR is no where as large as CBR.
