I would definitely consider staying in a home for a large group, but only if you plan to rent several cars and have cell phones to coordinate departures from the parks. At one point twelve of us stayed together on this last trip and we had a fantastic time. We happened to have four cars, but could have gotten away with two. The older folks left the parks around 5 pm and then the rest of us stayed until 11:30 pm. You really have to consider the touring styles and expectation of everyone before you decide how many cars you will want to rent. We found off site buffets to work well for our group. They accommodate large numbers of people and we could all sit together without having reservations dictate when we had to be there. Breakfast at the villa was also a time and money saver. Some people had cereal, others made eggs or pancakes, some had fruit, others had pastries. Our villa had 5.5 bathrooms so there was no waiting for the shower which was another plus. I would want at least one bathroom per family staying in the home. Good luck with your decision.
