My parents are wanting to take us to WDW for their 50th 12/19-12/26. We also went on their 45th and it was awesome. That trip we stayed at WL, but this time we are thinking about staying at OKW. We are owners with 250 points for 2015 and could borrow from 2016.
Those attending are:
Parents (2 adults)
Me (6 "adults")
Sister (4 "adults" 1 child)
Brother (2 adults 2 children)

Total of 17 people.

Ideas about how to plan, What kind of accommodations, anything helpful?

Thanks in advance

You could easily do three 2BRs, placing the parents in with your brother with his family of four. Which would give more privacy to everyone.

Or do one GV and and a single 2BR where everybody but your family is in the GV.

Have you done the math to figure how far your points will stretch?

Yes, my points don't go far (250) and they are not at OKW which is where we want to stay. I have posted for someone with 1000pts to rent to contact n=me and see if we can just rent from them. We think a grand villa, a 2 bdrm and a studio because of the way the kids ages work out. My brother has a baby and not sure we will be quiet enough for naps, etc.

If anyone has that many OKW points for rent, Please let me know.

In 2012, we had 15 of us at OKW. Grandpa and Grandma shared a 2BR with my brother and his family (wife and kids ages 11, 10 and 7). Grandma and Grandpa had the master BR, brother and SiL took the second BR and the kids slept in the living room (2 girls and the boy). We had another 2BR right next door. DH and I had the master, my kids (girls ages 10 and 8) shared the living room and my sister's family (DBiL and girls ages 4 and 7 months) had the second BR. Even with the baby, we didn't hear a thing. If they had their door closed, I didn't even know they were there. We went with just my sister's family last October and shared a 2BR at AKV-Kidani...same set up. We never heard a thing.

Wow. Good luck with this -- I don't know how hard it is to get a Grand Villa, but with wanting to be there Christmas night you'd best hope you find someone soon to rent from!

I make it 819 points for arrival on 12/19 and leaving on 12/26 for the GV, 2bed and studio. I think the minimum you could do would be 2 studios (parents and brother), a 2bedroom for yourself and a 1bedroom for sis - 695 points. You're crossing two seasons, with a Saturday stay in the cheaper season and a Friday stay in the more expensive one. You could save a few points by getting rid of that Saturday stay and coming in on Sunday, but I don't think your 250 points are going to be enough unless you really cut down on the days. And if they aren't OKW points and you'd have to wait until the 7 month date to try and book -- yeah, I hope you find someone. Good luck!
