Large family looking to buy

I'm still trying to figure out what a good UY would be for us so we would have all the point and no be short and have to borrow from another year. The month/years are. Aug 2012,Feb 2014,Feb 2016,Feb 2018, Aug 2020.

Bear in mind that if you are only going every other year, it's better to have too few points and borrow than too many. For example, say you have 125 points and a Feb use year. You bank 2011 points, and plan a trip in 2012. You have 125 banked, & 125 current points. If you need 252 points for your trip, you just borrow 2 from 2013. Then for the 2014 trip, you might need to borrow 4. At some point, you can give up 1 night to balance back out, if you want. However, if you booked a trip that only needed 240 points, you'd have 10 2012 points left to bank. But those would then have to be used in 2013, when you don't have a trip planned. You can't bank them again, so they'd expire.

Much as I love being in a banking position, sometimes it makes sense to be in a borrowing position.

Even more true now that Disney is "renting" points to members... If your 3 short, just rent them. Better then losing them!
