Let me start by saying "July is the only time we can go as a family" That said we have never seen such large crowds ever! We just returned Saturday night from a week stay at Boardwalk. We go commando style when we hit the parks, morning extra magic hour, rope drop, top seven and back to our resort. We even stop at the park we are going to hit that night to get a Fast Pass. We'll do a little touring when we go back at night then hit a couple of attractions late.
2 years ago we notice large tour groups from Brazil and South America at Universal but not at Disney World. This year it seemed to us they were many more and they were everywhere, Theme Parks, Early Entry Character Meals, even water parks and the Earport. I was getting our fast passes when I notice a tour guide with a stack of fast passes walking away. I didn't think to much of it then but later that week as we stood in line (40 min. wait time) at Test Track one of those groups of at least 40 or 50 kids walked into the fast pass line. Well after not moving up from the entry (at least it was cool) for 20 minutes we left. We notice the wait time now read 70 minutes. It happened to our girls when then were waiting for Mission Space. We had a 8:00 pm ADR for Rose & Crown the wait time read 30 min, the line wasn't long. We let the girls get in line. It was 7:00 pm and my wife and I head for Rose & Crown. At 8:10 the girls were just getting off. They said the same thing happen, they got close to the front but just stopped moving. Well just an observation, we know it summer and peak time. We are willing to wait in long line. It would be nice if they could let the people in line know they have change their wait time. We still had a great time and will be back next summer too. If you have read this far this must have happened to you too.
