LaQuinta Universal Partner Hotel

Hey everyone,

I love booking packages through partner hotels and this time I booked with LaQuinta on Universal Blvd. This may sound like a stupid question since it's on Uni. Blvd but has anyone stayed here and if so is it close enough to walk to the parks. I would love to save $15 a day on parking.

Also, is it a nice hotel. LaQuinta hotels usually are but I would just like to get a little input from someone on here!!

That hotel gets good reviews on trip advisor. They also have a free shuttle service to and from the parks. I believe it isn't a terrible walk to CityWalk (the site says 1/2 mile). I saw reviews that people walked it.

I haven't stayed here so I can't comment personally. Looks nice though and free breakfast is a great perk. Hope you like it.

We've stayed at the one on Major blvd. and the one on Universal Blvd. I like them both but I like the area on Universal blvd. better. You could walk from Major blvd. but it would be a long walk from Universal blvd. with a lot of traffic. I probably wouldn't walk from Major blvd. either but that is just me. By the time I've walked all day at the park, I'll pay to park.

This is one of our favorite places to stay. We were just there last Friday. You cannot walk to the parks from here. It's closer to the convention center than the parks. It is a nice place though. Everyone is friendly and the new refurb is nice. This was the best night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel and we had stayed at the Renaissance Sea World before we checked in here since I was at a conference for the week. They even had a room ready when we got there at 9am. This La Quinta always feels like home. Breakfast doesn't have any meat but it does have hardboiled eggs, make your own waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, bagels, etc. I think you'll enjoy it. I know we have every time we've stayed here.

Thanks for all the replies! Sorry about the improper posting. I have it in the budget that we're paying for parking so I agree, after all the time spent walking in the parks it's nice to get in my air conditioned car and drive to my hotel!!

We are going in July. We will have our dog with us so the LaQuinta is the way to go. I looked at hotels.com, it is listing 2 LaQuintas. Which one is the one your referring to? There is one one International Drive North and then International Drive. I just want to make sure we stay at the one preferred by DIS members Thanks for your help!
