Has anybody got any advice - Where to buy cheap Laptops, DD12 Has been nagging me to buy her one. I said i might buy her one for her 13th in Augest, But only if i could find a cheap one!

I tryed searching on Ebay, And i finally got one , BUT.. It was an Ebook, , My DD was so excited once she knew i had gotten her a "Laptop" But I finally told her it wasn't, She was very upset about that. And that was also 20 pound down the drain

We have been looking around the shops for them, But no cheap ones , I did see an advert on the Television for Currys "Laptops for 199", So we headed for Currys, But we could not find them anywhere (Cheapest about 399)..Later on I found out by a friend that they had made a mistake on the advert, It was meant to say 399

So I was wondering if anybody where could give me any idea's for cheap Laptops?

We heve had two laptops and bought both, brand new from ebay.

The first was from an online shop selling a return on ebay as it had a scratch on the top and the second was private from a seller who had one replaced from his insurance as his old one got damaged but they took so long he had bought a replacement himself in the meantime.

Both times we were in the right place at the right time. Keep looking on ebay and the shops, if her birthday isnt until Aug something will come up.

I also got my laptop from Ebay. Mine is second hand, but I got it for a great price (about £120) and have not had any problems with it. My hubby found it from a power seller who only sells reconditioned laptops.

Laptops for 199,

Currys & PC World did have ones at that sort of price, but really they are complete rubbish.

A used branded on from eBay is a much better buy.

If you buy one from eBay best best to to get a Dell, HP, Compaq, Toshiba, IBM etc rather then a non brand as its much easier to get parts if its ever required.

Have you checked the Dell Outlet site? They often have good deals.
