I have a dell inspiron laptop that we have had 2 yrs. Actually we have 2 of the same laptop. One is mine and my husbands and the other is shared between my 2 DD's. Around the bottom edges of the screen the plastic binding that surrounds the screen has cracked off of them on the same spot on both laptops. Is there any where that fixes that? I am no longer under the dell warranty but we did purchase the extra 2yrs warranty that went into effect when the dell warranty went out from Walmart.

TIA

Merry Christmas EVERYONE

Is this the plastic on the front or back of the LCD screen. The reason I ask the front bezel is usually easier to remove on a laptop vs the back bezel which must have the entire LCD screen removed. If its the front bezel you might find one on ebay...

The front bezel will usually have several small screws hidden beneath rubber or sticky pads. Remove the screws and then carefully pry off the old bezel.

Here is a web site that shows this being done on a dell inspiron.

As far as taking it somewhere the shop would need to be an authorized dell repair shop in order to order the replacement part from Dell...

It might just be easier to glue / duct tape the missing part...

It is on the front on both corners at the bottom. Both laptops that are just alike have done this.
