Laptop bag in addition to carry on ?

Love my laptop on my cruises...

• DCL has great Internet.... why not use it?
• Wanted a bigger movie selection... You could download movies to your laptop pre-trip or bring some Blu-Rays!
• for better sound, I pack a soundbar for added bass...

I travel with 4 memory cards between 1 and 5 GBs. And I feel better when I have my computer. Memory cards can be lost, even when inside a little case (ask my husband how many times I've misplaced it at home...actually right now I'm not 100% sure it's in the place where it's supposed to be).

I just shove a 32 or 64gb card in my cameras.... I've lost more memory cards and opportunties than I've lost an entire camera.

The best thing to do is have more than one memory card. That way if the card is corrupted you haven't lost all your photos. You should also back them up to a hard drive as soon as you can. Then back them up to another location, external hard drive or the cloud.
