Lap swimming at Swolphin

My husband likes to swim laps.
I know we can't pool hop and the Disney resorts don't have lap people old, any way.

Swan / Dolphin does have a lap pool. Can he pay a day fee to swim the Rest?

I called the Swan Dolphin health club. He said they have two heated lap pools. They do not use wrist bands.

Yes, my husband can go there to swim laps! We'll see how it works next week.

We stayed at the Dolphin a while back (2013?) and the pool was great for doing laps - DH and I are both swimmers and water polo players.

Just as an FYI the quiet pool by the health club at Coronado has lane markers for lap swimming. The Computer pool at POP is also a good option.

My DD is a competitive swimmer and needs to practice while we're on vacation. She has practiced at both the Swolphin and the CSR pool. Last December I called in advance and ok'd it at CSR but it was a PITB to get to it since we could not get through the gate to park nearby.

She did have problems with rec swimmers using the pool at both resorts. There are no lane lines and no flags.

I'm curious, as many seem to have the same question. Is it okay for your husband to swim laps at the Swan/Dolphin pool because they told you yes he could, or because there is no Magic Band scan required, which would prevent him access.
I would be surprised if these pools were open to swimming by anyone wishing to use them. But I am curious what they told you
Thank You

I talked to person at the health club, thinking that was near the pool.

I stressed that we were staying on Disney property, but not at Swan / Dolphin. I asked if there was a day rate, perhaps for the health club and the pool. He said they do not use wrist bands, that he could get in and use the pool. I asked for clarification, my husband likes to swim laps, could he really come in and use the pool? He said something I couldn't quite understand, so I asked back if that would be cheating? He repeated back what I didn't understand, that the pools are heated. And that yes, he could use them. I was very surprised and told him that he made my husband very happy.

I will report back in two weeks what happened.

Colorado Spring would be pool hopping, not allowed by Disney. I respect that. Maybe one day we will stay there.

We will be at Pop. Two years ago we overlooked that computer pool, but he didn't swim laps there. Visually, I thought it looked like the bowling pin pool might be longer. Personally, I'd like to see him swim around the flower petals of the Hippie Dippy pool.

If you park at the Swan/Dolphin, you'll pay to park each time.

Did you read my post? My DD was absolutely allowed to pool hop from AKV to CSR to use the spa quiet pool with lane lines. And no, it was not because we were DVC ... this was when pool hopping for DVC members was suspended over Christmas break. I called the spa in advance and explained the situation and asked if she could use the pool. I was told that she could even though we were not CSR guests. When we arrived, the CM at the spa couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The door from the spa to the pool is keyed to CSR guests and he let my DD into the locker room so she could change into her suit.
