After a recent trip to our city's amusement park I was wondering what the weight restrictions are on some of the rides that have lap bars as the safety bar. I'm guessing TOT; RNR; BTMRR; EE have them. It's been a while since we've gone but I thought SM had seatbelts. Wondering if I need to go on a crash diet for the next couple of months.

Generally speaking... if the lap bar will lock, they will let you ride. I've never seen Disney turn anyone away.

If you are seriously concerned you might consider dialing guest services. They should be able to find you some information.

There are no weight restrictions on any attraction that I know of.

In fact the only weight restriction for anything is for anything that uses a Segway for a tour (250 lbs).

You should read this. http://allears.net/tp/ridsiz.htm

I have never seen weight restrictions on the rides (that does not mean I know they do not exist though). Space, Splash and BTMRR have lap bars. ToT and Soarin' have seatbelts. Drawing a blank on some of the others.

ToT has a seatbelt. RnRc has a over the soulder saftey thing. BTMRR has a lap bar. EE has your own lap bar. SM has a lap bar. dont know about the wieght sorry.

BTMRR has a shared lap bar, as does Splash.

ToT is belts (and TT, Soarin, Dinosaur, Star Tours (I think?))

EE is a personal lap-bar (the seats are split in two, each person gets their own)

RNRC has an over the shoulder harness (as does Stitch, but that's more for effects and so people don't do stupid stuff)

The Sum of All Thrills at Epcot's Innoventions East can be too tight a fit for "oversized" guests.
(There are "test seats" in the area to check.)

The Segway Tours have weight restrictions.

The major attractions at all of the parks do not have weight restrictions.

the DIS affectionately calls us plus size folks 'Pooh sized' :) :goodvibes In answering your question- 99% of people- even women who are size 26 WILL fit on every Disney ride. I was a size 14 the last time I was at DW and I fit on every ride with LOADS of room to spare and I mean LOADS. This is one thing that Disney is great about- building rides that ALL can ride. :thumbsup2

And the AK Wildlife Trek Tour (the one that includes a rope bridge and zipline) is, I think, 315 lbs., and they will weigh you.

No rides at WDW, including the waterpark, have weight limits. I'm 5'10", about 300 lbs., wear size 3XL shirts, and could fit on every ride at WDW except for the two minor roller coaster simulators, Sum of All Thrills at Epcot and Cyberspace Mountain at DisneyQuest. Two big people may have trouble sitting together on Kali River Rapids (but will be fine separated so they don't have to share a seatbelt) and big people may have trouble getting into/out of Space Mountain.

Rides with restraining lap bars (as opposed to bars that just keep you from walking out of the car): Splash Mountain, BTMRR, Space Mountain, Expedition Everest

Rides with overhead restraints: Mission: Space, RnRC

Rides with seatbelts: Test Track, Soarin', Star Tours, ToT, Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur

All other rides shouldn't be a problem.
