Could someone post a picture of a lanyard that visitors wear to the parks. Not sure what kind to buy for my family for our upcoming trip. Thank you in advance.:flower3:

I purchased our lanyard and some pins on ebay. It was much cheaper than the $25 price tag with 4 pins that is offered in Disney. I got a princess one with a "grab" bag assortment of pins. If you do get them off ebay make sure the seller is reputable and sells true Disney pins. Just type in Disney lanyard and they will come up.......:wizard:

Just my opinion, but don't bother with a lanyard. We saw very few people with a lanyard when we were there earlier this week. It looks like most people do just fine putting their tickets/ID/etc in their pocket.

I got the laynard so my daughter could wear pins and trade them with the cms. I think it will be a fun souvenir;)

we got all our pins and lanyard-just as described! My dd loves it-all the pins are on and in the backpack ready to go. I will let you know how the trading goes-Packing like crazy!:yay:

I happen to have the perfect picture of my son at Disney Hollywood Studios last week. Holding his lanyard up!

I will tell you it is the best lanyard we've found! Much better than the classic lanyard, you pin your pins onto a felt like flap and it velcros down to help keep the pin backs on ~ which trust me, is a problem!

They are easy to get to and comfortable to wear. LOTS of CM's have lanyards like this. We got ours at the Character Outlet for $4.00, we bought the last 6 they had last week, but they are $14.00 at WDW, and worth it!!!

There is only one more I saw better, they were $25.00 each, it was like ours but it had a little wallet type pin holder. Imagine the one you see in the pic but instead of the material with the pins on it you have a velcro wallet with multiple pages to put your pins. If we hadn't found the ones we did we would have sprung for the wallet style ones because between the pins we got on e-bay, and all the pins we bought down there we spent hundreds of dollars! (Pin trading is SO fun!!!) and it is an investment to protect your pins which are very expensive and fall off often.

One more tip~they sell backs for about $8.00 that are shaped like Mickey's sorcerrer hat, goofy's glove, etc. and you get about 30 maybe, but anyway, you have to work those things off! I suggest getting some of those and when trading just tell the CM you'll keep your back;)

Here is the lanyard...

And here is a pic of my daughter with her lanyard on~they are very comfy and don't pull around your neck because you wear them to the side ~

I have a great seller on ebay who had the real pins ~ nice ones ~ for about $2.00 a piece, just PM me if you want his name.

Also, we ended up buying the pack from WDW with 6 pirate pins for $30.00, which made it about $4 something a pin when we needed more. It's much cheaper than buying the $8.00 individual ones;)

Hi

Did you see them sale @ Disney or in the Disney Store? I love them they look great and kids seem so proud of them. i have never pin traded but would like to give it a try if you could start it on the cheap.

Will be only at the parks 2 days on our upcoming vacation.

Thank you

Pins are nice to collect. They don't take up a lot of space. If you are lucky and get a few good ones you can make some good trades. You can start out cheap, but it can get expensive. This is the only thing my husband goes crazy collecting. I told him he was going on a budget this next trip.

Are you referring to the lanyards? If so we got ours at Character Outlet at the Prime One Outlet Mall on International. We did buy the last 6 for our family, not sure if they had more or not. They had WDW price tags of $14.00 on them though so I would imagine you could get them there, unless they were discontinued.

The kids were proud of them. They really enjoyed pin trading, it was one of the highlights of the trip:goodvibes

They just checked out EVERY CM's lanyard everywhere we went!!! They got some good stuff too!

As for starting off, we ordered some from an ebayer another DISer referred to me. He had all authentic NICE trading pins for a couple of dollars each. We got 25 for $50.00, then ended up buying about 40 more pins for the 6 of us from the WDW outlet for @2.99 each, then 3 boxes from the parks with 6 each in them for $30.00. We ended up spending a lot of pins, but we were there for a lot of days.

I suggest buying some from ebay (just make sure they are authentic) and it will be a nice cheap way to get started and it is so fun:wizard:

PM me if you want the ebay seller's name.

I love those shoulder lanyards! Thanks for the idea. I hate wearing the neck lanyards because when you fill them up, they get heavy and hurt your neck. My kids and I stopped wearing them because of that reason. I'll have to try to get some of these!!
