Aloha - we just left Aulani today after a nice spring break! I wanted to bring this up as a warning to double check your Laniwai spa reservations. I booked way in advance online (2/4/23 to be exact) to get a couple's massage for me and my husband. It was perfectly timed with a premium Aunty's group for our two kids so we could make the most of the experience and have a few minutes in the outdoor garden. I got a confirmation VM the day prior and I was suspicious because they didn't mention anything about it being for 2 people. ALSO I was suspicious because I heard a woman next to me at the beach talking on the phone about how she booked a couple's massage but it wasn't valid because she didn't book it for 2 people and she thought it was ridiculous seeing that a couple's massage means 2 people!

Anyway, I called back ASAP, and they insisted that a) I was booked for an individual massage and b) that there is no way I could have booked a couple's massage online. I told them I had a confirmation email with a confirmation number and the rep continued to insist that I was wrong and couple's massage can only be booked through a Cast Member.

Anyway, the rep wouldn't do anything for me initially. Then, he offered to put my husband at a different time but that was not the point. We had no flexibility because of the kids and we were leaving the next day. It wasn't until I started to raise my voice and asked to speak to a supervisor that he finally said he'd call me back in 5-10 min. And he did and then told me it was taken care of. I guess he asked whomever was supposed to go at that time if they could take a different timeslot. Anyway, it worked out or we got really lucky but it felt bad to have to push HARD to get them to do the right thing.

So if you've booked this service I'd call ASAP and confirm they have it correct.

Wow! Very stressful.

I just booked our couples massage via phone last week. Now I'm going to check my receipt to co firm but before hanging up the phone I asked for my total and it was definitely for 2 people, lol! Yikes!

I am glad it all worked out in the end... But what a shame you had to go through that stress. I imagine that must have put a bit of a damper on what should have been a transcendent experience (we did the couples massage on our honeymoon, and are talking about trying it again on our next trip).

Disney IT, strikes again...

I took a look just now and all of the couples treatments say "priced per person" (a very stupid way to sell a couples treatment, IMO) and you have to actually call to get it booked now. So perhaps a change in response to what happened to you! How annoying.

I tried to book a couple's massage online in January for our March trip, but I was unable to and had to call. Then, we rescheduled our trip for July, and they did not have openings for July yet. So I had to call to cancel and was told I had to call again when July opened up. Our date just recently opened up and I tried to book it online (just in case things changed since I last tried). I still was not able to book it online, so I had to call again. I am not sure how you were able to book a couple's massage (even for one person) online, because I was not able to. Glad it worked out though.

I bet I was wrong and that I did actually call to book it then. I did have the confirmation email though so I don't know where the disconnect was!
