"Landslide"-Fleetwood Mac or Dixie Chicks

my wife likes the dx chicks version....although i do like the music and harmonies better on the chicks version, ya can't be stevie's raspy, sexy voice(i like the leader singer's, natalie?, voice on their own songs but ...i go with fleetwood mac, in a landslide(couldn't help it)...

You know, I really respect artists who allow other artists to record their songs (well for a fee I'm sure). They are really giving and trusting to think that other artists will do a great job and treat their creations with respect and dignity. Songs are a part of a writer and to let someone else sing them, has to be one of the most giving jestures. But ooooooooooh! It makes me sick to hear anyone other than Stevie do that song! ACK!

as much as I like the Dixie Chicks...that song is best when done by Fleetwood Mac.

That song is a terrible rendition by the Dixie Chicks - and I am a huge fan of theirs.

They didn't put a new spin on it, and they don't sing it better, so they should have left it alone. That song, as well as Rock on Gold Dust Woman - should stay a Stevie Nicks original.

Funny you should ask. I was just mentioning to DH how I never liked Stevie Nicks version of that song. It was one of those songs I would purposely turn off when it came on. However, I really like the new version. It just sounds nicer to me.
And Im not really a big fan of either one of them, but I dont dislike them either.
