Landry's birthday month

Some helpful posters have convinced me to get a Landry's card. The website says you get an extra $25 during your birthday month. It will be my son's birthday month during our trip, not mine. Can I use his birthday when I sign up? Do they match it up to your driver's license or something?

We've had a Landry's card for years, and so far as I can remember they've never checked anything to confirm our birthday month. I've also read more than once on this board that people have listed the month they usually travel to WDW and haven't had a problem either. So happy birthday to your son - he can treat you to dinner that night!

Landry's doesn't care what birthday you use. They are going to give you that $25 only once a year, and they don't care when.

I accidentally chose the wrong birth month when I signed up, so my account says I have a September birthday ( I have a late winter birthday). On our trip last month they told me to just uas the $25 birth month certificate, even though I told them it was wrong. They don't care when you use it, but you only get 1 a year and they said I can't change my birth month now.

If you have already signed up for the card, whichever birthday month you used will be the permanent birthday month. You cannot change it. They don't check your birthday when you dine there, but it's in their system and automatically added each year. That's why people say to choose a birthday month when you will most often visit WDW. You cannot use someone else in your party's birthday to "move" the bonus around.

Good to know! But we live near quite a few Landry's restaurants, so it's doubtful that we'd ever have a birthday reward last beyond the month.

Nope, no ADR needed, even at busy times. Landry’s really takes care of their Select Club members.

we walked into Rainforest Cafe in AK at 6 pm with a party of 7. It was very crowded. NO reservation, flashed my Landry's card, we were seated in less than 5 minutes. Ahead of a lot of people with ADRs. AMAZING.

That's unusual.

I also had the same thing happen last year. my birthday was in December but they were able to apply the reward in Jan.

My birthday is 12/1. i was able to use my reward 1/25.

Yes. That is what happened when we went.

Also, if you have a way to get discounted Rainforest Cafe/Landry's gift cards you can use them after you use your $50. (One of my credit cards would offer these as a reward. I think it was Discover. I could get $45 cashback or a $50 Landry's card).

But you can't use any other discounts (like the AP discount) when using your Member card for a discount.
