Land/ Sea upgrade

We have reserved our land portion at the Polynesian. I asked my TA if we could upgrade to Concierge. She said she could only put in a request. I am willing to pay extra for concierge at the Polynesian. Has anyone had experience getting a upgrade. We are booked for may 2005. So far away but maybe I could reserve this now before they fill up.

In order to do that your travel agent needs to contact the cruise line--who will in turn have to contact the resort to check for availability and the additional pricing--but yes it is possible to do this. I have personally done this for a client at the Beach Club on a land/sea package.

We also have a Land/Sea package booked and we also requested to have a prefered room at the CBR resort. Our TA (who is with AAA) put in our request at the resort, but told us we will not know until we check in whether they will be able to fufil our request. I'm kinda bummed not knowing. It's not like it's the end of the world if we don't get a perfered room, but I would just like to know. Since we are making the request so far in advance (we don't travel until June 17th) I don't understand why they can't guarentee a room?

I too have a land/sea package. Just wondering what a concierge level room is?

This is an example of the inflexability of the Land/Sea package. Even when you are willing to pay extra, it is very difficult to confirm what you want on the Land end of the vacation.
However, when you book the Land/Sea separately, you are able to get exactly what you want. This is why many fellow forum members and also the people at Passporter recommend that these be booked separately.
