Please don't flame me...I just can't seem to find info anywhere...

I am considering a 7 day land/sea vacation, however, I have some questions for you guys out there...

-Do you pick your resort/room at WDW, or do you just get what you get?
-We will be traveling with a 3 year old, so obviously, we aren't going to do a TON of rides, etc...do you think 3 days would be enough on land?

We did a Disney cruise last December and it was awesome!

Thanks for the info!

The land and sea ties in CAT rooms with WDW resorts, so thehigher the Cat the higher the WDW resorts you choose from Cat 1s have a tie in with the Grand Flordian for example, within each grouping you can choose a few resort hotels.

3 days with a young child should be ok, but maybe either drop a park or do one park am one day and another pm the same day.

IE
MK 1 day
Hollywood studios/Epcot 1 day
AK one day, and maybe jump back later in the day.

Your resort room depends on your category on the ship.

Cat 1 - 3 = The Grand Floridian

Cat 4 - 7 = Deluxe Resorts Disney's Beach Club Resort
Disney's Polynesian Resort
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
Walt Disney World Swan
Walt Disney World Dolphin

Cat 8 - 12 = Moderate Resorts Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Realize though, that it will be cheaper for you to book the land and sea separately!!

I have a land/sea package booked for the end of September with a 3 year old. We are doing the 4 night land/3 night sea. I did check prices and it was about the same to book the package. I did learn later on when I wanted to add an extra night at the end of the cruise we could not do this because we had added the Disney Dining Plan. If you are wanting to customize and add extras be sure you can do this before booking the package.
