Land Of The Lost - The DVC Members with Resort Reservations and No Tickets Crying Room....

I just read it. It sounded like they added wording that because we couldn’t buy when we were supposed to that they’ve held space is for us in the park when we do finally get our tickets. I doubt it I would love to see them prove that.
Was That all added today? I know in my email yesterday I said it would be nice to have it on the site in black-and-white that the 28th was actually the date not just hearsay from different cast members or random riding on random webpages. Maybe enough people complained over the past few days.

Ok so it’s physically on the site. So I hope we can get annual passes cause I don’t want to be buying tickets only. I have a second trip to book next month so that means I would have to buy 2 sets of tickets so that is going to get all wonky. I hope we can buy passes Sunday and be done with all this.

It only refers to 2021 tickets...nothing about APs....sorry.

No idea when it was added....I saw it in a thread about no pool hopping...that is suspended

Except BCV guests can use BWV pool since SAB is closed.

This is the email I received

THEME PARKS & EXPERIENCES
As a reminder, Magic Kingdom® Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Park are scheduled to reopen on July 11 followed by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios® on July 15.

All our Guests (including Guests of Disney Resort hotels) will need to make a reservation to enter the Theme Parks. Please be aware that you’ll first need a My Disney Experience account and a valid Theme Park ticket or pass linked to it to use the system. Park reservations are limited in capacity, subject to availability and are not guaranteed. Please check the Theme Park Reservation calendarprior to confirming your Resort stay. Guests will be able to select one Park per day. Visiting more than one Park per day will be temporarily unavailable.

Wow that’s a lot going on there. And this is how it’s prob going to be for well over another year.

my wife is an occupational therapist. Works the floors. She finally felt things were getting better but is anxious again with she surges going on all over the country.

I'm in the same boat as you. Spent 15 hours on Monday trying to get park reservations and line up tickets (our 4yo's AP was not on the same cycle and was expiring right before we were planning to come down), finally got them all lined up and then of course Gov Cuomo's quarantine for returning travelers from FL and other states came down yesterday. We decided to use points for another trip in April too, but have no tickets or passes for that one (yet). Our points are going to be a mess, especially if August gets canceled (we'd already canceled 2 trips during the shutdown period, reallocated points, and downsized from a 2br to a 1br for August).

Oh well. I'm not going to tear my hair out on Sunday. Will buy new passes, and book park reservations without stressing about it, when I get to it. I think we've been conditioned by the Ghosts of WDW Past that we need to jump on at 7am or 8am with multiple browsers or we're not going to get what we want. I think it will be another year, at least, before we are back to that. And having been on pretty intense lockdown here in NYC, I just want a safe and relaxing vacation. I'm not going to care that much if we don't get to do every.single.thing we wanted.

DH is a doctor, I (used to be) in courtrooms all the time. He still sees patients, does procedures. Most of the things I do are remote/virtual, but we are starting to open up again and I'm very wary of another peak here. It was *really* bad March - May here.

So, for a friend in my room for December, and friends going with my sister in November, I keep looking on this thread to find when they can buy.

When they can, they should buy from Disney because only then you can see availability of parks? Or am I mistaken in that, and they could buy from UT for instance?

Thanks :)

We have had our Thanksgiving week planned for 11 months and we had an April trip planned that got cancelled. We had tickets for that but based on a short trip so I need to add to those. In addition, my then 2 year old didn't get a ticket and she will be 3 when we go in November. Therefore, I was able to make park reservations but only for 3 of us! I called and there was nothing they could do. The CM said she didn't foresee an issue getting a ticket or pass for my 3 year old. Obviously I have to cancel if that is not the case. To add to the confusion I also purchased a Platinum Pass since we were going during a blackout time in April and wanted memory maker. Now those things are unnecessary so I really want to downgrade my pass to Gold. Not sure what will happen - there are a lot of variables but I got no specifics when I called this week.

I got so frustrated on Monday with all the people being like "Uh...you don't have a TICKET..why would you expect to be able to make a park reservation?????????" like I'm crazy or something. Like sorry dude, tickets just stopped being sold with no warning, I don't typically buy my park tickets 9 months in advance :\ (I have a December DVC stay).

HELLO CRYING ROOM HOW ARE YOU TODAY <3

I empathize with ya'll. We almost just had resort reservations because we were on the fence on getting our military tickets which are non-refundable. Luckily we purchased the day before cutoff. Im thinking that this scenario w/ DVC reservation & no ticket was an edge case for the development team. And in order to get the product out the door, they had to backlog it.

Can't wait to hear when tickets become available. I reaaaally hope everyone gets their Disney vacation. It really means a lot to so many people.

Other people don’t seem to understand, resort reservations can be modified or cancelled, park tickets are non-refundable. I did not buy my park tickets ahead of time because COVID was beginning to spread in January, and I did not want to get stuck with tickets that I could not use.

I am not sure, but I am thinking direct from Disney would be the safest.

I think we will have a better idea on June 28th when 2021 tickets open and see how UT handles those..if they even get the go ahead to sell them the same day.

Ok...I will keep looking here, and probably suggest going through Disney.

GREAT NEWS says the email My Magic Bands have shipped ...too bad I can't share that detail with the other family and their kids. Look kiddos you're Magic Bands are here - you can use them to open and close the villa room that you have to stay in all day for a week because you CAN'T GO TO THE PARKS.

I think my case is over the edge. Last trip in March got shortened for COVID. The reason my daughter and I have tickets is because the last trip was cut short. No way could have I anticipated needing to buy tickets in May for a trip we did not even think of doing until they announce the re-opening dates. I am betting after the initial surge the first week or so, that the parks will be not at capacity - people afraid to travel.

Same....are the ones we never used///

fyi, I have a dvc reservation at the Beach Club, July 19th thru the 26th. Can not purchase park tickets. The main pool is closed. The main restaurant is closed. DVC member services just informed me that you also can only make dinning reservations at a resort restaurant if your are a quest of the resort. DVC member services also confirmed that you can have tickets added to a vacation package for non-DVC reservations. So, DVC members are welcome to visit the resorts but are treated as second class quests not worthy of purchasing tickets for the parks. What is that all about? So much for them limiting ticket sales for outstanding tickets and annual pass holders in attempt to limit park capacity. Seems like it is all about taking care of their bottom line. A real insult to all of us considering that they continued to collect DVC member fees during the shut down.

CM is wrong about 2020 tickets, No one, including cash guests can buy them right now. Only 2021 tickets...those go on sale June 28th and DVC confirmed that as well as spots being left for DVC and cash guests needing stand alone tickets.

"...confirmed that as well as spots being left for DVC and cash guests needing stand alone tickets."
@Sandisw , To clarify, it's been confirmed that DVC members with resort only bookings in 2020 are being left spots for park tickets? Or is that still an 'unknown'?
