Who's your provider? I just look mine up on the website and I think there is an out of network fee but it's still cheaper than OOP. I feel for you with the glasses. DD has had 3 pairs (and now contacts, too) in about 16 months!
1st pair closed in a locker door=bent frame, 2nd pair, ran into a door and the 3rd pair is only a month old, but she is wearing contacts now so....

Well, I was a little winner-ish this am. Met DH at the gym on base for a workout--he runs and I walk and we use treadmills so that we can distract each other. Now it is snowing It's the kind of really big, fluffy flakes that are really pretty but I am so tired of winter! Bring on spring!

Whose the insurance company? Usually there is an onsite tool with them - check the back of your insurance card - where you can search for a doctor in your area. I hate switching insurance co. - we had to in January but thank god everyone accepted the new plan so we didn't have to switch any doctors. You could also check with the dr you like and see if he will cut you a price deal because you want to stay with him but your insurance doesn't cover it.

Multiplan.

We went online and printed out a list of docs, not that many, most are with the one practice. So I call the one practice and they thought I was crazy bc they said they havent taken the plan since 2006.

So then I call Multiplan double check I have eye coverage, yes I do, they give me a referal dept number. Call that and they tell me all the Drs I have on my list including the one that told me no. They told me there was a lapse but now they are reactivated. So I call Drs back and they tell me no but you can talk to billing, leave a message with billing.

So I call Dr#2, get the same spiel I dont think we take that anymore, I get transferred to billing, this lady is nice enough to take my name and number and says she will call Multiplan for me and see what is going on.

So I call DH and he is annoyed bc they are listed they should take it.

He is also mad bc he has been on the phone trying to find out info about the braces DS10 needs to get and the whole time he forgot we switched from the DMO to the PPO . I told him dont you remember no one took the DMO and they all told us it was an awful plan so I made you switch. Ugh that selective hearing again. He has no recollection of this, so now he is further annoyed.

Dh works in NJ too...I hate dealing with his insurance...but his work pays for it..so i guess I shouldn't complain.

See it is sponsored by his employer and most of the people live near there and go to their Drs. We dont but they are going to expand to our area which is why DH works for them to help grow the business in PA

ugh...sorry to hear that..Ours is Cigna...and if I go online to look up providers it tells me there aren't any in our area. AND if I call them, they kick us out of the system.

I've been at CVS at least 5 or 6 times, forcing them to call the insurance because I KNOW we still have coverage. My CVS hates me now I think.

We just had the rest melt and now it's at it again. I guess I shouldn't complain. DH's family iin Eastern IA have a tunnel from the front door to the driveway! They've had like 58" or something so far and I think it's snowing there again today.

I grew up in MN, I am used to snow and love it, but I am just so tired of winter this year. It's been so cold, Brrrrr! We haven't had much snow, but what we have gotten has stayed far too long.... I'll box somme up for ya tomorrow. If you get a soggy cardboard box in the mail, you'll know it's from me!

I only live about 3-4 miles from the Burlington Bristol Bridge...so I'd be happy to find providers in NJ...I just can't get any answers.

I'm actually PAYING for dental through my job...only because I know that I can get answers on what's covered..and where we can go

Oh we had Cigna before this. I hated them too. Although we had a Rx plan not through Cigna. Dh worked for a company in Ohio and we were here in PA. Cigna was a royal pain in the neck!

I miss living in GA. We never got snow where we were (Warner Robins), and I missed that but there's something about the roses still blooming until Christmas. And the azaelas--can't beat 'em. This time of year is the best!
