Aaahhhh, so we've been there, hmmm??

Ok guys, loser moment last night. Ya know what tastes really good? Ruby Red Grapefruit juice, a splash of cranberry juice and Vodka. Ya know what tastes really BAD? Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice, a splash of cranberry juice and Peppermint Schnapps. Ya know what looks the same in an unmarked bottle? Vodka and Peppermint Schnapps. Ya know how long it took me to figure out there was REALLY something wrong with that drink? I mean it tasted funny from the start, but it took me about half through it to figure out that strange unfamiliar taste.. I thought the grapefruite juice had gone bad at first, but we drink it all the time, so no...then I thought back....


I made a comment earlier in the evening that DH had finished off the vodka..He says, "oh, but I have some more". He brings out a clear pint bottle full of clear liquid. He sets it out, later on I make my little coctail. Yuck..this morning I point out his error, he says he can't remember when he poured Schnapps in the bottle..Thanks, thanks a lot...ugh... I did NOT finishe that drink, and the Schnapps gave me a headache this morning anyway.

the end..He'd better come home with a big blue bottle of Skyy, that's all I can say..

One time we were at my husband's family's camp and we were making margaritas. My mother in law was using some tequila she grabbed from the house, so we start drinking them and realize there is no tequila in the drinks....my brother in law (who was 17 at the time) drank the tequila and refilled it with water!!!! Thinking that no one would notice!!!

Boys names are another story. We like Jacob, but it's been in the top 5 names for the last several years. We don't want there to be 4 Jacobs in his third grade class.

Jacob is very popular...my cousin(3 brothers) got 3 bunnies last easter, and the youngest wanted to name them all Jacob....but he knew three different Jacobs, so each bunny had a different "last name"

Then I went grocery shopping. Saw my SIL in there, and she had to tell me about her plans to move to Mexico and how much of an *** my brother is.

Oh, and UNDERWEAR UPDATE: DS is still in his undies. When he got up this morning, he had a bit of an accident, and he went (all by himself, without anyone telling him to) and put on another pair of undies.

I guess he figured he didn't have a choice, since I lied to him yesterday and told him there were no more diapers, we ran out, and WalMart didn't have any more either.

We did this to my DDad's vodka bottle after a very fun NYE's night where my friends thought it was hysterical to flash the pizza delivery guy. I was like Hello I have to live here. We were freshmen in HS

Maybe this is the reason I only do drive thrus or pickup. I was pyschologically scarred into never having anything delivered again

I got all my errands done without running into any rain.
Can anyone explain why I can take my kids to the commissary for our big grocery shopping trips and usual they are on good behaviors but when I am only running in for a few things (which were all for them) it turns into a big headache for me Oh I am sooooooooooooooooooo glad it's Friday & can sleep in tomorrow.

God! I HATE taking my kids to the grocery store! I'm sure the people in there today were about ready to call family services on me. I tried to go w/out them but by the time I got done buying out the rest of the book fair & going to Wally World it was time to pick them up.

I'm having a nice BIG margarita right now, before I tackle dinner. I just had to go outside I tell the little darlings next door to quit it w/the screaming already. Good Lord it sounded like they were on a roller coaster or something. I asked them if someone was being murdered. Of course my kids are standing there w/the "not me" faces. I thought it was another kid so I was fully prepared to lay the smackdown on him. Now I have to refill my drink.

I got my groceries put away. I had to threaten the kids they weren't eating in this house ever again if they didn't help. It's been quite a WINNER day for me. I'm going to become Martha Stewart here in a minute because I'm going to attempt a shortcake from scratch. Just like dear old mom used to make. I hope I don't burn it. I'm also making tacos. Believe it or not I don't like using the taco seasoning from El Paso so again, making something from scratch. No, I haven't fallen & hit my head. Although I did get my hair stuck in one of the foot-long spiral lollipops from DW earlier. The LOSER in me will always fight her way back out.

I just love surprises! I hope it's a pony! (insert pony smilie here)

Woo it's hot here today! It's affecting everybody too. The boy children outside are having some sort of fight, not realizing that I'm sitting here able to see & hear everything. There are two boys who just can't seem to get along w/everyone else. It's driving me bonkers! Dude's having a meltdown right in my driveway! Where the heck are the parents & why do they always send them to my house?

So yeah, if anybody feels like taking a Disney break my couch is open too. I can't guarantee dinner but McDonald's isn't too far away.

I was up in the middle of the night. I couldn't sleep. I hate that. I tried counting, I got to 4,000,000 and gave up. Then, I started to think about the Losers and if I knew thier real names. BTW my real name is Mary.

Hey Mary, I couldn't sleep last night either. I tried counting and kept hearing Dh breathing (How dare he? ) He doesn't snore but he is the loudest breather--especially at night when I am not asleep!

I avoid kids at the Commissary at all costs. I went today (I try to go in between paydays) and it swallowed me up for over an hour! But I saved $38 in coupons today Of course, I spent $200+

Do you all get anything for your kids' coaches at the end of the season? I don't really know all the other parents on DS's Basketball team but I thought maybe a GC for food would be a nice thing. The kid is still in college, I think. He did a great job. Pizza party after the last game tomorrow so I am thinking I should come up with something? Apparently no winner moms on the team roster--usually one of them sets this up! Any ideas??

I do kind of like Ian. We could use Ian with my maiden name has a middle name and we'll have Ian Miller Conlee. (My daughter she going to marry Ian Miller - said in a heavy Greek accent).

There was also talk of it being Jacob Ryan just so we could have a son named Jake Ryan. Yes we have a wacked out sense of humor!!!

I love Joelle. I like the boys too. I love 16 Candles, now if you could only guarantee that he looked like Jake Ryan. My Big Fat Greek Wedding is so great too. It never gets old. Ian Miller is very nice on the eyes too.

Do you use a recipe or just kinda throw everything together? I am not a recipe cook. My SIL has a great recipe, but I just kinda keep it in my head and I think I get it right most of the time. I taco salad!

We are having the roast with carrots that I cooked in the crockpot all day yesterday. Friends invited us out to dinner and we couldn't turn that down so I don't have to cook tonight

Nope, no recipe. I just use seasoned meat (Fiesta Party Dip Mix), lettuce, cheese, chips, kidney beans rinsed. For dressing I use salsa and Dorothy Lynch mixed together. Nothing too thrilling.
