Terrible thunderstorm here this afternoon and it got even worse over Lakeland. There were reports of funnel clouds. Funny thing is, I'm a thunderstorm nut. Love 'em and will usually sit outside in a protected area (like my garage). But this one really made me nervous. I can't remember the last time I saw so much cloud to ground lightning. It's was scary but it was also amazing.
I stayed inside away from windows and even unplugged the computer like a good do bee.
It was that vicious.
Anyway, I know there are several folks on this board in the Lakeland and points west toward Tampa. Check in if you didn't get blown to Texas.
