Baylor missed perfect attendance because of our October trip in 2008. He actually told us we were irresponsible taking him out of school.....
We told him he didn't have to go.
He decided to go.

He loved MNSSHP!

I would definitely have my kids miss school for MNSSHP and I don't think they would mind one bit.

I'm so glad you're here. I have to admit I've been lurking on your current report.

My kids have no problem missing school for a Disney trip. I'm usually the one making them go to school, except for Danielle.

fellow South Louisianian. I'm sure whatever they didn't want us to hear was spoken in French. My Mom is from the northern part of the state. She spent years thinking my Maw Maw never cursed because she always did it in French.

Okay, I'm finally reading this. My name's Michelle, i'm the 19 yr old DD (i'm just getting used to this crazy lingo). This is my mom's trip report, and she has been BEGGING me to join in. I love Disney, i'm just not quite as obsessive as my mom. I love Disney enough to quit my sorority and use that money to pay for my trip AND i missed a test... and in college that's like willingly losing an arm! (but don't worry I worked a deal with my prof.) Mom's right, i AM the Belle of the family. I'm a sophomore at LSU and would LOVE to do a semester in the Disney College Program. This trip was a lot of fun and i'm sure you will all have a great time reading it!

and I am NOT a diva... MOM!!!!! (just saying )

I have been trying to talk my DD into going at Mardi Gras, but she hasn't wanted to take DGD and DGS out of school, so we will be going as soon as school is out. We might use Mardi Gras next year for a shorter trip to Universal to see Harry Potter though. I have been to Universal but her family hasn't, and we all want to see the new area. So we are talking about that possibility.
We need to form a Baton Rouge DIS group and get together sometime.

Thanks for joining in. I hope Michelle gives some more input. I've taken my kids out of school twice for Mardi Gras trip. Never been to Universal but now that it has HP I'm interested.

We do need to get a BR Dis group together. Do you know any other Disers in BR? So, do you miss the Disney Store as much as me? I've only made the trip to the NO store once.
