Okay, so I'm 39 and LOVE this show....
I love LC (Lauren). I used to hate Kristin, but she is growing on me. Jessica seems sweet, but is a liar... Casey is just ridiculous.... the boys on this show are blah. They would not have lasted two minutes in my high school.

I hate myself for watching it, but I do occasionally. I don't know who everyone is, but I can follow most of the story lines. But I guess I watch them out of order since I only watch the repeats shown on MTV. Has season 3 started? It does make me laugh when I watch.

I heard Kristin got a small part in an Al Pacino movie! Good for her. I would definitely capitalize on my 15 minutes if I were them. There was a recent article in the LA Times about how some people in Laguna are really bitter about the show, and how it doesn't show the town's 'soul'. But there were some people who were pleased since they have been getting more tourists.

I love Kristin, mostly because she reminds me of me (only her positive qualities of course ) I hate LC and think she's really fake. Alex and Taylor kind of bother me, but I've learned to ignore them and I think that they may (esp. alex) be the ones who are the most edited on the show. They boys are OK, though I really miss the Season 1 boys (esp. trey!). Jessica and the other Alex are SO annoying. I want to put the TV on mute every time they talk. Jessica seems like a huge drama queen and hypocrite to me. I think Casey would bother me more if she actually had a bigger part on the show. I wish they would show more of her lifestyle just because it seems so rediculous.

technically its supposed to be reality. Theres a little "disclaimer" at the begining of the show that says "the people, places and the drama are real". However, a lot of people think that it is fake and that the situations are set-up and then filmed. I think any reality show is like that though, everything is edited and stuff so take the "reality" with a grain of salt.

I went there for business two weeks ago. The first thing I did when I found out where I was going was call my 20 year old DD and tell her. This was followed with "Mom, no, Mom, no, Mom, no you can't go without me."

Before going, I watched a few episodes. I visited the Koffee Klatch and there may have been some people from the show there, but with 99.9% of the girls having long blond hair and a chihuahua, I couldn't tell. (Great Chai Latte, BTW.)

DD also asked about Wahoo's Tacos so I went there and got a T-shirt.

We stayed at the Laguna Sand & Surf which is where they had the black and white party. It's an incredible resort.

I haven't had a chance to watch the show since I got back. I'm sure it will be different now that some things will be familiar.

It's a gorgeous area and I was happy to find that there were some reasonably priced shops mixed in with the high end stores. If you ever have a chance to go there, you should do it.
