Lagoon View at the Poly

Looking at booking a Lagoon view at the Poly In Dec. What are the odds of this being a construction view? I know if we are put in building Tuvalu we won’t see any construction but I’m worried if we are put in Aotearoa. I know I can always request Tuvalu, but it’s only a request and my past 3 stays my request have been the total opposite of what we got. A TA on FB told me she doesn’t think they are putting guests in Aotearoa in lagoon view but I’m also not so sure that’s correct. Not wanting to put any more money out to switch to club lvl since we were just there in Oct but I know that would guarantee us away from construction.

Just curious, do you show availability for “Lagoon View” for your December dates? Earlier this year Disney tinkered with room categories and “Lagoon View” and “Pool or Marina View” are now a combined “Water View” category, although “Lagoon View” still shows up online during this transition period as some already had it booked, Disney is slow to update their website, etc. I didn’t think you could book a new reservation with “Lagoon View” but not totally sure about that.

It is showing up under the passholder discount. So there’s possibly a chance this could be a pool view? I also see rooms available for water view.

While I do not follow the new cat. layout for Disney as we own DVC. The only possible real Lagoon view is Tuvalu. Any water view if that is what it is called now pool or boat dock would face the opposite way of the construction. I am not certain but I do not see how Aotearoa could be a lagoon view with all of the trees in front of it not to mention how far it is from the actual Lagoon. I personally would not pay for that Cat if it is. Emai and ask what buildings...... and save a copy.
