Is this any good? Trailer looks great so figured no harm in asking and I've loved the director's other films

In fact the Disney Studio's PASSED on this Movie, and he had a problem getting another Studio to represent it....doesn't sound good to me.

I haven't seen it but it doesn't even look interesting to me at all. The trailer and previews don't even make the story to look like it makes much sense. At least with the other ones, the trailer/previews made sense to me. I like M. Night Shyamalan, but really The Sixth Sense was his greatest achievement.

I have only seen a few reviews but they have all been bad. One said he has used up any good will he had left from "The Sixth Sense" and will have trouble making another movie.

I had no idea! Now that I look at her again, I can definitely see a resemblance.

I've heard all bad reviews as well. It is supposed to be very fairy tale like, but very unbelievable. It is based on a fairy tale he made up for his daughters. I was curious about it, but I think I'll be waiting for the DVD.

To be fair though...critics aren't loving PoC II either, but I liked it I'll think I'll see it again.

Everytime we've been to a movie and have seen the trailer I've leaned over to dh and said "no interest."

Doesn't look good to me at all.

I am a huge fan of M. Night, and I will see it. I don't trust critics and I don't trust reviews. I will decide for myself if I like it or not.

I don't trust critics either. We probably won't see it though. I'm just not that interested before video.

Now the previews of the Christmas movie where Ben Stiller is in the Natural History museum looks hillarious.

DD13 is a huge M. Night Shyamalan fan, and was SO excited to see this...but at the end all she could say was, "That was stupid."

I'm sure it was profound on some level, but I didn't get it. Maybe it will sink in.

M. Night himself had a much bigger part in this movie than he did in any of the others. He was a fairly major character.

I have come out of 2 other of his movies saying "that was stupid"
I was going to give him another try, but now that I have heard what people are saying, I think I will go see My Super Ex Girlfriend tomorrow instead.
I did know it was Ron Howard's daughter....and she was in The Village too.
